HAPPY SUPERBOWL PSUNDAY!

well that was a close game that got really interesting the last 2 minutes of the game. sounds like everyone had lots to eat.
got the capeting pulled up in rodent's room that lovely strip of tacks that held it & got the floor all swept up. have to fix a couple of squeaky spots, but other than that should be able to put the new flooring down next weekend. back to work tomorrow, have a great sleep.

Life is as per Elmo's fav saying ....

Dog is growing like a weed (has grown measurably in the six days he's been with us), is sharp as a tack and is a full-blown sweetie pie. Kidlet is home for the weekend to meet Oggie and the two are getting along famously. Hubby's team won the divisional pool play-offs this afternoon and, yesterday, I got a call back for a "next steps" interview re: one of the opportunities for which I'm vying.




However, the universe must keep its balance .... I can feel one of those "can't talk because of the throat, can't breathe because of the heavy chest" type colds coming on. All in all, a reasonable trade-off as far as I'm concerned. There's always OTC cold stuff to temporarily alleviate one's suffering, but there's no OTC that can possibly make up for the rest of it!!

Hey ecat, wish I could have gone today, would have been great to meet up with you and sazzy. I have to agree that Comfortably Numb was great, I caught the show last year and was blown away. I've seen bands that could cover a few Floyd tunes, but these guys are able to do the full span. Not too impressed about having to stand for the entire 3 hours tho, but that's The Opera House for ya!

i definitely agree 100%. the show was totally awesome, the lead guitar was incredible & the female keyboardist did clair justise, but never having being to the opera house, not knowing what to expect, was surprise to find, there were no seats, except for a couple of rows up in the balcony. while we had a great view being at the front, standing for 3 1/2 hours killed my feet & back. robaxecet before bed helped thru the day today.

I just realized that today is my 2nd SC anniversary!!! my, has time gone by fast...

I just saw a trailer for a new movie - 'Big Miracle'

I WAS THERE

As a member of Greenpeace, I was flown up to a small inuit town in northern Alaska many years ago to help save 3 whales trapped by ice, 5 miles from the ocean. I was there for 2 weeks.

I can't believe they made a movie of it, well, I guess I can, & I can't wait 2 see it !! I'll probably go tomorrow.
The cause really touched my heart, & was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life !!

that is so wonderful. what a great experience. enjoy the movie.
