Darn, really wanted to win today, I won't be able to try next week as I'll still be in Los Cabos! One of the nice things about this resort is the pool goes almost right down to the beach, solves my delima of wanting to be at the beach and the pool at the same time!:-) I hate missing one second of a nice view! If I forget to mention it before I go Good Luck to you all next week!

A central Alberta alderman was met with laughter when he expressed a concern over teens getting drunk from inserting alcohol-soaked tampons into their bodies.
Wetaskiwin Ald. Barry Hawkes told RCMP brass during a council meeting he'd watched a U.S. TV show about the unusual behaviour.
“Are you finding any problems as far as the high school and junior highs where alcohol is starting to become prominent?" Hawkes said during the Jan. 30 meeting.
“Do you mean drinking outside the school?” asked Staff Sgt. Gary Rhodes.
Hawkes then said teenagers are using tampons soaked in alcohol in order to get drunk.
“And it’s a male, female – they’re sticking them up their rectums and getting a quick fix off of that,” said Hawkes.

Rhodes said police have not received any calls from schools about it.
“But I did watch a program down in the States. It’s starting to become (a problem). It’s on the web,” said Hawkes.
He added he had watched another show that showed young people bringing vodka soaked gummy bears to school.
“Bears swell up with the alcohol, and they just pass that around to other (teenagers)," Hawkes said.
Hawkes’ concerns produced giggles from some of council.
“It’s the truth,” said Hawkes.
“I know, but...” said Ald. Dale Crabtree with a chuckle.
Hawkes told council that he wanted to retract his statements.
Wetaskiwin is a small city about 60 km south of Edmonton.

Hope everyone enjoyed their day. :)
I had a lovely lunch with some friends at Gilead Bistro (may as well eat yummy naughty things while I can :P). Had a really delicious gourmet burger. So did my one friend. The other had poutine with pulled beef. Tomorrow I'm off to celebrate another friend's b-day with dinner at the Mandarin buffet. Maybe next week, I'll behave myself & eat rabbit food. :P
If anyone has prayers to spare, my friend who was dealing with cancer last fall is in emergency (silly girl put off going to the doctor & now she's dealing with dehydration :(). I'm praying for a day when I will no longer have a need to ask for prayers.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening & a wonderful day tomorrow. We're supposed to get a dusting of snow (blech, it should stay north of the city!).
Take care, everybody, & stay well. :flowers:
Night all. :)
good evening all, hope everyone had a great day, other than a ringing in the ears or sore fingers. wish they would do it on saturdays. one more day till deep sleep
Cockpit View of Twilight Landing at LAX
It's nearly impossible for 'outsiders' to get a view of what those lucky pilots get to see all the time. In fact, sometimes we take the beauty for granted.
It's only right to share the blessings.
(Note that the time is compressed 10-1.)

Good evening everyone.
Just back from London a little while ago.
My daughter had a medical appointment there.
All is well.
I actually slept on the way home.
It seems I am more tired than I had realized.
I had hoped someone would have won from here today...
When I actually got through , shock of shocks :yikes:
I assumed someone would win from here....
I hope you are doing well...
Thanks you for keeping me in mind... with your wonderful reps and notes PMs....
I appreciate you all very much! :sweet:
