my last bad flight was about 20 years ago when i was flying out of toronto to halifax, finished training in cfb borden so we had a massive party, the next morning woke late, didnt even have a glass of water and had to run for the bus, got to the airport and had the smart idea hair of the dog would fix everything, missed the plane, was in the airport for about 6 or 7 hours, transfered in montreal, a few hours there, than halifax, it was only a 2 hour flight to start with, and my drive wasnt amused as 2 trips had to be made there too

Similar thing happened to us in Trinidad in '89. Took of from Port of Spain, got about halfway to Barbados, turned around and came back. There was a problem with cabin pressure, and although they could have made the Barbados leg, they would not have been able to reach cruising altitude to Toronto after that. So we sat on the tarmac for a couple of hours, they fed us in our seats, then kicked us off. The flight was rescheduled for the next day, they put us up in the Holiday Inn, then back to the airport to hang around and around until the plane was properly fixed. At one point, we watched the crew get on, thinking we were about to get started, then watched as the plane taxied out, took off without us and landed again about 25 minutes later. A test flight to check the pressure. We got going maybe an hour after that. The good part? My uncle-in-law (retired airport official dude) had had us upgraded to first class, so all of the sitting around was in comfy chairs and nice lounges with lots of west indian food and beverages. BWIA, now Carribean Airlines, is right up there with KLM in my books, a notch below Emirates and Etihad for service.

Our adventure was coming home from St. Kitts a few years ago. We were ready to take off and a very intoxicated man decided that he needed to use the washroom. He was told to return to his seat, but ignored the flight attendant and went anyway... he was so drunk that he didn't even shut the door. The flight attendant came by and shut the door and he accused her of opening it. Then he told her to "f-off". She called the pilot who then came back to talk to this man. The pilot asked him what happened so he told him. Then he said that he told her to "f-off" (at least he was honest)... long story short, the pilot said that it was a federal offense to swear to a flight attendant and removed him from the plane... we all know that if you're removed from the plane, so is your baggage... we sat on the tarmac for hours while we watched the ground crew look for his bags. Naturally, it's very hot in St. Kitts, so the ground crew moved very slowly and took many liquid breaks... it was very frustrating watching them take every single bag off and check each name....

We had a transfer in Miami and because there were about 30 of us on the Toronto flight, they held that flight for us. I don't remember now if there were multiple terminals in Miami, but I do remember that we had a private escort rushing us past every single security checkpoint to get us to the other end of the airport to our connecting flight.... If looks could kill, we would have all been dead from the people sitting on the flight waiting for us....

My Airplane Story really was not bad (for my Mother and me).
When I was a wee Pup, my Mother and I were going to Vancouver from T.O. to Visit Relatives.
Now... I am considered one of the Better (if not Best) Travelers.
Planes, Trains, Automobiles (as a Passenger)... well, I fall asleep.
Many Times, within Minutes.
Still holds True to this day... If I am Comfortable... I Sleep.
Never a Victim of Motion-Sickness.

Well, as we were on the Tarmac waiting for the Plane to take off, I must have dozed off.
{My Mother Loves telling this Story...}
There was this little Indian Fellow sitting next to us, who must have been a Nervous Flyer. Looked Nervous, Sweating and seemed to be popping-pills.
The Plane started to move and I woke up.
The First thing I asked Calmly... and none too quietly, I may add...was, "Hey Mom... did we crash yet?".
This Poor Fellow next to us went PALE and started popping more pills like Tic-Tacs!!!!
I destinctly heard the sounds of Laughter... and some Whimpering.
I then Pestered my Mother for the Window Seat... right before I fell asleep again.

i am so proud of myself, i advanced 1 point more in technology, it only took my several hours. i have wireless and i have to shut it off when i am done because i live in a high rise, my warning yesterday was that i used up my 60 gb dont know how much it is but i do know its alot more than used here. so i spent the morning trying to figure out how to get it secure to the pc and laptop,

Hey CRN, you want to be sure your wireless is secured or you will have all your neighbors piggy-backing on your band. Could get real expensive!
