Good morning Q sters....April already!. Better start pedalling to w*rk...lucky me!
Morning all. Happy April Fools day!
Happy April 1 ..... just kidding
Good morning everyone!! we were out at a friends house for dinner and the evening last night... my friend lit a whole bunch of candles for the hour.... it was a great time....
Congratulations to Alex - winning the last trip....
I'm going to start painting my bedroom today - finally..... it's only been 9 1/2 years since we moved into this house.... I hope to have the ceiling done, a coat of primer and hopefully the first coat of paint.... if not, it'll be Friday before I can tackle it again... this week will be a busy at w*rk for me....
I hope everyone enjoys their day!! :teeth:
I started on our basement washroom yesterday Lee.
The contractor I hired 5 years ago to finish the basement hired a moron to mud it.
Managed to get it sanded and primed yesterday.
Trying to patch and smooth it out today.
First time I have used Drydex spackling, starts pink dries white.
Kinda cool, just waiting for the pink to disappear so I can sand it again.

Good morning, everyone. :)
Quincy cat's in the doghouse this morning. He's decided that Lily's breakfast is better than his own & wants to eat it all. Poor dog is still crying about lost kibble. :P
Back to spring cleaning (my closet has been emptied, scrubbed clean - the milk crates holding my clothes have been washed, no more dust in the nooks & crannies, & the shelves are gleaming). Today I get to tackle the bookshelves in the bedroom & make them dust-free. Then (or at least *when* I have some more energy) I get to go through the piles of stuff I pulled out of there to see what I still need & what can be released. I think it will be a while before I get the use of my living room back. :P
Better stop procrastinating & get to work. Blech. :P On the plus side, the weather's too yucky to be a distraction.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. :)
I haven't tried the Drydex, but we use the ceiling paint that goes on pink (or blue - if we buy it from home hardware) and I love it. It's so hard to see if you've missed patches of the ceiling when the paint isn't tinted... I will definitely buy the Drydex next time I need putty....
off to get motivated.... :)
All Repped out for 24. Have a Great Sunday :)
