....ya think so?....well, I sure love them all to the sky....it makes you wonder which is better ( if there is such a thing)....losing your dad early in your life and remembering him in his prime although he will miss so much, or in my case, watching him in hospital withering away, and going to his grave in pieces due to diabetes...hmm...re-reading this,I see neither is better....TR

It's been a long and exhilarating day. What a day for a cook-off.

My deck is going to look much smaller with a big new Napoleon BBQ on it when it arrives.

1st place as judged by Ted Reader. My Jack's Rich & Sweet BBQ Sauce, ribs, roasted potatoes and Asian inspired coleslaw kicked butt! And Ted was impressed with my new drink mixing Ice Tea and Lemonade (known as an Arnold Palmer) with Jack Daniel's which I call an Arnold Ziffle (after the pig on Green Acres).

My niece was my assistant chef and she was absolutely amazing help. She took my winning recipe and put it over the top for me.

Extremely sad to hear about the passing of a true legend Clarence Clemons tonight. RIP Big Man...

It is with overwhelming sadness that we inform our friends and fans that at 7:00 tonight, Saturday, June 18, our beloved friend and bandmate, Clarence Clemons passed away. The cause was complications from his stroke of last Sunday, June 12th.

Bruce Springsteen said of Clarence: Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him. He created a wondrous and extended family. He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night he stepped on stage. His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the opportunity to stand beside him for nearly forty years. He was my great friend, my partner, and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music. His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our band.

good Monday Morning kids.. what a beautiful blue sky.. had a very productive weekend.. made a nice ramp for my "old boy" Snoopy to make it easier for him to get into and out of the back of the truck.. He was NOT happy with it or me.... Offended comes to mind as to how he was feeling..LOL
