Good morning, everyone.

Happy Mother's Day to the Moms out there. We celebrated Mother's Day with my Mom on Friday, so today I'm hanging out with a neighbour whose Mom passed away last year.

Better get going & start working in the kitchen (domesticity is such an alien concept for me ).

Good morning fellow Canucks!

Yesterday I mentioned that we were going car shopping because my wife's car died on Friday. Boy there aren't a lot of cars out there that were really jumping out at us, the exception are the cars that are out of most people's price range.

We did find a couple of cars, and decided to buy a new Hyundai Sonata. For the price, there are so many things that come with the car. The warranty, 5 years/100,000 km couldn't even be touched by the other car dealers. Most importantly, both of us liked the car. It is smooth and comfortable. Her car just may replace my aging Impala SS as the family car for road trips on the weekends.

We will pick up the new car on Tuesday night.

Since we spent all day car shopping yesterday, I didn't have time for Mother's Day shopping. I am forgiven though because I put the down payment on the car.

To all you Smart Canuck Moms, its Mother’s Day greetings I’m sending,
I hope your house is filled with helping hands willing for the lending,
I’ve been a Mom for 27 years & wonder how it went by so fast,
I’m reflecting on how the day to day stuff become memories from the past,
The cards they made, the cups of tea & breakfast served on a tray,
Coming down to the kitchen to be welcomed by a floral bouquet,
The little things your kids do for you remind you motherhood is a perk!
In spite of all the times beyond frustration & you were going berserk,
Many of us have lost our own Mom’s & reflect on all they gave,
& now know they were on the money when they told us to behave,
If you’re a new Mom I can tell you that it is a pretty good gig indeed,
& just let your kids really believe that you’re not quite up to speed,
Once you’ve become a Mom your intuition switch is stuck in the “on” mode,
But all us Moms know the travels of motherhood is a most rewarding road,
Happy Mother’s Day ladies enjoy your day, time for a motherly review,
& any offspring who’ve forgotten what today is, that’s a major shame on you!
