Did the yard sale thing to. The boss got an oak bench for $25. Then she was looking at a self for $10. I told her I`d make the deal as she gave the money for bench with negotiating. Got it for $5.Quote:

I went to the Toronto Reference Library today for a lecture on Sherlock Holmes (Holmes as the first criminal profiler). Quite interesting. I did feel a bit left out, since most of the folks knew each other & were members of the Bootmakers of Toronto (the local Sherlock Holmes Society named after a reference to Meyers, the maker of the boot which yielded a clue in Hound of the Baskervilles - these folks are diehard enthusiasts :P).
Off to see what I missed today.

Just a small sampling of the concert pics. I posted 171 pics of the show on my facebook page (aside from the other trip pics). Weather was pretty poor. It rained each day for most of the day, usually clearing late afternoon/evening. It didn't keep us from doing stuff though.Quote:

had the dentist this morning, just a cleaning, all is good, then had to take 1 of my furballs to the vet. when i got home last night i noticed that her left eye looked puffy & swollen, wasn't like that when i left for friday morning. also had noticed that she wasn't eating. her food bowl was still full, not like her at all. this morning her eye looked really puffy, so i was able to get her in to the vet after my dentist appointment. the vet took a look, asked if she had been outside, told him no, she's an inside kitty, then he started checking her teeth & took her temperature. furball has an absessed tooth & the infection has spread to her eye. her temp was 40 degrees, running a fever from the infection. he's put her on antibiotics, had to put an IV in to hydrate her & tomorrow, hopefully he will be extracting the tooth. poor little baby, she was still purring even thru what must have been painful. hoping to hear from him tomorrow on how she's doing. seems strange without her tonight, even the other 2 are quiet. they know something is up, but don't know why she's missing.
the rest of the day was spent fundraising for the food bank & will be doing it again tomorrow for a few more hours.
maybe the weather guys will be wrong & it won't rain till monday.
