Well hello to everyone!

A quick note from Loocie, but I cannot stay long,
I am in the rehab hospital, where I must learn to be strong,
Getting better and better each & every day,
Although my recovery seems slow in many a way,
I miss you all & I so miss my life,
Being surgically challenged sure can cause strife,
I hope to be back in a few weeks time,
But for now, I'll just say hello in this quick little rhyme,
I have to say missing you all is a bummer,
I can't believe that soon we'll be saying farewell to summer,
Wish me well, cause it's off I must go,
Day after day it's more physio,
Now to check my pm's & my rep comments too,
I can't wait to be back full time dear people with all of you!

You keep that positive attitude, keep fighting & rehabbing, because there are a whole hell of a lot of people here who miss you & want you back, healthy & strong again.

Holy cow! Look at what my hubby just found in one of ours trees! How the heck are we going to get rid of this-and it is just buzzing with huge wasps-OMG!!!

We had one last year. There is a nest bomb you can get at Canadian Tire, Home Depot, etc. Big can, heavy spray so you don't get too close. Like Raid, kills em dead. JD

Hope everyone is well.

The brats & I had a great time at the BBQ. Quincy cat spent about 5 hours being passed from one teen to another to another to be cuddled & petted. And loved it. Poor Lily felt a little out of place with all the cat people (they all marvelled that any cat would be so calm). Lily dog ate her, Quincy cat's & part of many soft-hearted humans' burgers. BUT...she was *very* naughty. She even knocked me over at one point (ok, so it doesn't take much to tip me ) in order to go play with some of the UNdomesticated locals. Sigh. Yes, my silly dog wanted to play with raccoons.

Things went well during the BBQ, even while we ate we were safe. Then, the locals came to the party. It started with 2 adolescent raccoons sneaking over, climbing on the picnic table & trying to steal cutlery (???). We were smart this time & put leftovers away right away to lessen temptation. That didn`t stop these bandits, who then called their friends over to the party. Next thing you know, 8 humans, a dog & a cat are surrounded by them. They came within 10 ft of us! Not even the BBQ (we threw twigs & lots of lighter fluid on there to get large flames & more of a campfire effect) bothered the juvenile delinquents.

All in all, everyone had a great time. Especially the teens who are now in love with my boy. & it didn`t hurt that they were sneaking him bits of catnip (no wonder he was oblivious to the raccoons).

Still feeling the effects of too much fresh air (not to mention a fun afternoon of theatre today), so it will be an early night for me. Critters are already in their beds.

you still need to spray that hive at night, so you can eliminate the wasps. had to get rid of a few hives myself that way. found another one i need to get rid of this weekend. good luck.
