Good morning, nice start to the long weekend. Like Mechman I’m going to try and be at the Blues Fest Saturday night but will be at the lake all day, then to the hospital when I get back, but since I had tickets to the Summer Bash and did not make it I will do my best. I also enjoyed Edgar and Rick last year. I guess by the way they announce the line up as the Johnny Winter and Edgar Winter bands they will not be there just the backing bands with the singer from Savoy Brown and Rick Derringer singing. Not that I’m complaining, I’m a fan of all of them. I saw Johnny Winter at the Phoenix about three years ago they helped him on and off the stage, but he was awesome as always. And saw Savoy Brown a few months later also at the Phoenix they rocked just like the first time I saw them at the El Mocambo when Burton Cumming joined them on stage at the end man it was wild. It was almost the end that night too, five of us in and old beater, came down the hill on Bayview toward Steeles at a good clip for 2:30 in the morning, the light changed and the brakes completely failed, right though the light just missed the cars going East and West, still remember the screeching brakes and horns, but thank goodness no crunching metal. Every time I hear horns and tire screech but no crunching I have to say “MISSED” just like that night! Mechman and Hteam if we go I hope we get a chance to meet.
