Hi. Friday night I found out that my co-worker had died. It was quite the shocker, thought I was handling it pretty good till I walked in this morning and saw his empty office then it hit pretty hard. Going to be thought to be in this small office without him, he will be missed!
My condolences KT. I was at Queen's Park with my daughter yesterday at the Word On The Street book festival, and we took a few minutes to visit the Ontario Firefighter Memorial. She was astounded how many of the names were those of men I had worked with. It's one thing to hear of a retiree who has passed away, but quite another to see that empty office chair. Sometimes we think that work is just work and that we are not emotionally connected to it, but none of us go through any part of life's journey alone. Remember, honour, and continue.Quote:
