Thanks for the welcome everyone. We've got to get to the bottom of this. I've downloaded solo McCartney a whole wide load of Beatles songs, solo Lennon, nothing's coming to me.

I've come to the conclusion that guessing this song is kinda like pulling teeth,
Wrong guess after wrong guess, can cause some of us grief!
One of these days a lucky person, will nail it on the head,
& we'll extend our congratulations to them, on this here Club Q thread,
I know it's not Carlos Santana, nor is it our friend Neil Young,
But, I do bet when we find out, it will be a song that we've all sung,

too many people holding on to ideas on what the song is and they're afraid someone will steal it.

yesterday i did the beatles and supertramp collections.
so far my maybe list includes
supertramp: breakfast in america, from now on, lord is it mine.
