Finally! here are some pictures from when Bobby Keys & the Sufferin band played at SA Friday Oct 19th. the lead singer is Dan Baird from the Georgis Satellites. Bobby is a great sax player.

I mentioned a while ago there is a guy who sits out on the street down here with his dog all day long and never takes him down to the beach which is 5 minutes away, just makes him sit all day like thathe's still out there everyday. Now there's another bum with a dog. Today they were sitting out there in the rain, the poor dog wanted to get up (probably sick to death of sitting all day, while his owner bums money!!!) the guy yelled at him to sit down and pushed him down, the dog gave a bark before that and he grabbed him roughly and told him to shut up - the dog cried, this one is a german sheppard!!! I tell you if I knew I could handle the guy I would have given him something to teach him a lesson about caring for an animal!!!! Wish there was something I could do to help the poor thing out. It's not fair, the dog can't do anything when he's held down with a leash around his neck etc.

Damn these people if they are going to make their dogs sit like that all day - at least give the poor thing some time out and a little fun in the park - which is steps away - I hate to think it but I'm pretty sure this one just has the dog to help him get money............when I was walking on Queen West last week it seemed every bum on the street had a dog or two lying beside him..............

The kids were adorable & mostly well-behaved. But the next time I hear Alligator Pie, I'll hurt someone til they start to cry.

Ecat, I've come across the same thing with lots of unmotivated young folks begging, all with purebred dogs (I have no clue how they can afford pedigreed pups but have no $ for food???).
