Yes, Spartacus there were a lot of problems with Tim T. as the President but it is much better now that he and a few others are gone. For one thing there are a lot less animals and therefore more time to clean the cages properly. The cats are cared for much better now, they are assessed by Sarah and tended to depending on their needs. There are many volunteers so at least they all get some company. They have a room where the Pet Store used to be where a number can run free and there is an Enrichment room where volunteers can take some to get a little time out of there cages. The cages are double the size they used to be which is a big improvement. The food for the cats and dogs is from Hills Science Diet so they are fed well. I feel really bad for them being abandoned by their so called owners and having to live in a shelter until they hopefully get another home but that's not their fault - they still need help while they are in there and I would hope people wouldn't avoid the place because of the bad publicity a few years ago - the animals are the first priority and they need our help............

Bud, It wasn't JUST publicity it was downright animal and worker abuse. It was a horror story (WITHOUT THE ROCKY), which I witnessed and lived through. That's why the union backed out because it couldn't be changed and they didn't want to be apart of it. There were lots of workers and volunteers. It wasn't the workers and the vets but it was Tim and his followers, Stewart, Gary and VET Steve to name a few, that used the animals for finacial gain while we ALL suffered. Animals were suffering because Tim didn't want the euthanasia numbers to rise because then the donation numbers would go down.. There were many animals suffering because of greedy humans. I'm glad to see it's improved and I realize the animals need us. As I said ANIMALS are my life. I would tell you more but I'd have everyone in tears. LOVE TO ALL THE ANIMALS AND ANIMAL LOVERS IN THE WORLD. PEACE!!!!!
