Made it to the mountain yesterday morning for a few hours(before things got crazy...only 2 lifts running). Decent conditions & lots of sun. I`m sure we already have more natural snow this year than last year.

this reminds me of my sheppard. but his favorite was soccer balls. 3 christmas's ago we got him another soccer ball. we were having our usual christmas fire in the afternoon, we would shovel out the fire pit, burn all the paper and have a couple beverages, depending on how cold it was. montana the sheppard came out with his old soccer ball so i threw it on the fire to tease him. he did circles around the fire but knew it was useless. dont think he was impressed. i took off running to the house to get his new one and he took off after me, i did not know he was following, he literally ran between my legs taking me out, i went in the air i dont know how far, landing on my back in the deep snow, i never touch his soccer ball again. this is my favorite pic of him and i.

Good morning, everyone.

It's chilly out there, so dress warm (poor Lily dog had a mini walk instead of her usual spying on the neighbours routine). I think she's ok with it tho - I told her she gets to go for a car ride later this morning, when the treat dispensers come to pick us up.

I just wanted to thank everybody for their support this past year. It means so much to me, I can't thank everyone enough. Here's hoping 2013 brings nothing but happiness for everyone.


We're off to the land of no internet for a couple of days, see y'all in the New Year!

Good morning everyone! Got a busy day ahead preparing for this evening. We always celebrate with two other couples and their kids and this year the party is at our place. I am doing a surf and turf dinner with Bailey's Chocolate cake for dessert. The best thing is no one drives home-the worst thing is all the kids in the morning! Seems no matter how late we stay up, the kids are up at the crack of dawn. We have made a luge type sledding run down one of the hill trails so that should provide some fun and laughs (especially when the three 50-something drunk men decide they should go sledding, this will make for great youtube fodder)

I know what you mean about trying to get rid of old toys - Lily dog opens doors, so it has to leave the place right away, or she'll extract it from the garbage (or help Quincy cat retrieve his). With Quincy the hardest oart is throwing out boxes - he runs between my legs and leaps into whatever box I dare to touch.

I am sure our kids will also be up at the crack of dawn, still partying!
The twenty somethings are having their New Year's bash at our place.
