I am not sure how many if any of you enjoy wine...
However, Niagara on the Lake and surrounding wine country have events all winter.

Hubby and I were there yesterday and it was as if we were in another place on vacation.
This entire month they are celebrating Ice Wine. Every winery has specials on it, and one
winery offer superb Lobster bisque with their Ice wine. You have to pay either at the winery or
you can tickets at the Gateway. $8.00 per tasting, or $40 for 10 tickets (1/2 price).
The various wineries paired their wine up with assorted foods.
February they are paring the wine up with chocolate!
We are s fortunate to have fairly close by...

It is beautiful to walk around there or visit the wineries and not buy a thing.

Thanks for the review of the Zombies TO - hopefully I'll find a way to get tickets for it at the S.A. I'll let you know if I find a way - right now there is no contest for them on the site but maybe the Q will have a few.......

That is the concert I referred to earlier in the week when I mentioned Ron Argent. What is bothersome is the date.

Well, It just so happens I'm a wine lover, and do enjoy a nice ice wine on occcasion (like winter, or days of the week ending in "y"). And chocolate too??? I'm gonna have to look into that!

Speaking of wine, the Taylor Fladgate is going down quite smooth.

Mmmme, I've done some of those ice wine tastings, & pairings. Makes for a really nice day.
I'm glad ur enjoying your new job. It makes 'going to wo*k' so much less stressful.

We did a tour of Pillitteri estates and a tasting at Inniskillin when we did our Niagara trip a few weeks ago.... I didn't really appreciate ice wine until I tasted the Merlot at Pillitteri.... I have to say that both hubby and I "injoyed" the inniskillin ice wine as well... It was disappointing that the Merlot at Pillitteri was sold in such a big bottle... it keeps open for about 2 weeks in the fridge and we don't have any functions in the foreseeable future to share it.... I would hate to waste it at THAT price...

Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

Had a lovely lunch with friends (we celebrated 4 birthdays, Xmas and my anniversary in one shot). Critters were annoyed that I was leaving, but I think I'm forgiven now (I brought home a doggy/kitty/human bag ).

Better get those words in and check out everything I've missed today, before I turn into a pumpkin.

Just gave aussie girl her pain med for the night.... working from home tomorrow so she has company with her during the day, and wonderful son and gf will be dogsitting tomorrow night whilst we are at the game.
Aussie Girl - lord knows how - but ouch - tore one of the pads off her front paw..I cringe thinking about the pain....the vet assured me althought it is painful the first few days it does heal...also it is quite common - really - yikes!!! Never had it with our golden... in all fairness though - aussie is a wonderous sight when running...like a gazelle - truly beautiful...she runs hard thought, and you can feel the ground when she's doing her herding....she must have caught it on a stick, rock, ice...ouch... bandages came off yesterday but she wears a boot and plastic cover when outside...which by the way she is totally not impressed with the footwear.
