Gonna make sure my boat is storm ready....here's what I have in case I get stuck. Trust me, you never know when it'll happen.
-Blankies (self explanatory)
-For some reason they say to have a candle with matches, do they even make matches anymore :P Not sure why the candle but they're cheap so buy em and then eat a can of something and put the candle in there.
-Have some extra clothes and shoes. In this case, I put in wooly sockies, extra hat, mitts, scarf, jacket or sweater and some pantalones
-Emergency First Aid Kit with a Seat Belt Cutter/Window Breaker (just in case you end up on the 401)
-Flashlight with extra batteries (no really 0.0)
-Food (seriously bring food you'll thank yourself later, just make sure it's non-perishable types. I'm sorry, that means no bacon v.v)
-Water (another no brainer)
-Small shovel (or one that collapses), scraper, snowbrush
-Warning lights or flares (just in case they didn't see the frozen bicyclist, shhhh)
-Whistle (so we can all be like Rose in Titanic)
-antifreeze and washer fluid (though you should always have extra washer fluid)
-Fire extinguisher (...do I look stupid enough to battle a car fire???)
-Maps (those nautical thingies)
-Sand, salt or non-clumping cat litter (you know, traction. In my case I also have traction grips I put under the tires in case I get stuck. Some may want chains if it's allowed.)
-Tow rope and jumper cables (you're a moron if you don't have cables as a basic essential in your car)
As an added bonus....BRING A BOOK you're gonna get bored and need to preserve battery cell life.
