Another 3 Days of fighting with Rogers. Internet finally back up to speed from < 2Mbps to > 20 Mbps. Locked into contract until 2014 but after all the trouble we have been having we may be able to get out of it. Biggest problem is the helpline isn't aware when the field troops are performing service in the field, in other words we were trying to troubleshoot while an outage is on. What a waste of time :(.

I got a notice just before christmas that CRA was looking at my mother's final tax return... Now they want a LOT more, thousands more, plus interest. It's just long enough ago that I have forgotten what I initially did (2009). (It involves reporting more income. I do believe that ireported the RIF thing on mine, since I looked up the info and it said that I could, being the beneficiary) But HOLY CRAP... I can't even say the amount, it is SOOO much...

Spartacus – if you’re getting DOS prompts it does not sound good, more like a failing hard drive, though I’m no expert. If you do get it going, go on line and get the free Advast Anti Virus. I use it and have had no problems. It will ask you to upgrade but ignore it. And after you run that, get Malwarebites it free too, it will remove the pop up crap.

Thanks knottythots for the info. I think norton did something because I cancelled with them. It was fine before I got norton a year ago. hopefully it's not that bad. I don't do too much on the internet other than here and facebook once in awhile.

Thank you all for the kind words.. it has been a very sad day, lots of support from everyone..
She had cancer in her brain a few years back, she was in remission... It could be the way her little body reacted to its return, but not sure... if it was, maybe best that she went fast without lots of suffering.
