Way cool. I did that - ONCE!
Update on my "golf across cottage country tour" - Last week we played a course that was one of the only courses around where Hubby and I could play our respective tees straight up. No strokes. Yes, betting is an integral part of golf; each and every time Hubby and I golf, something is on the line. Usually, if I win, he cooks breakfast for me; if he loses, he cooks breakfast for me.
Anyway, on this course, the tee blocks were set up not unlike the Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge - given a relatively good tee shot, we were each going into the green with the same club.
But, that was then. Last weekend I lost to Hubby - badly. Not because my game particularly sucked, not because his game was particularly spectacular - but because they moved all other tee blocks closer to the reds - EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!!
This new course is linked with a very established Wasaga course. Which, btw, used to be really good until they put a housing development around it and shortened it by 1,000 yards or so about 10 years ago.
Old Course Blue Tees - 5,383; New Course Red Tees - 5,465
Seems the Established Course boys got their plus-fours in a knot when they had trouble with the new course. So, rather than hold their ground, Up and Coming Course caved and moved the tees to accommodate the Old Boys Club.
I guess we go back to Hubby giving me 1 stroke per 5 par + 3 per side.
