Today is, Worship of Tools Day
There are few things that the male population worships more than his tools. To some, a tool is a natural extension of their arm. So, Worship of Tools Day is a logical day of celebration. It's definitely a guy thing. Please note however, there are more than a few ladies who love to work with their hands, and find today to be an important holiday.
Need a birthday or Christmas gift idea for one of the "boys" in the family? You're never lacking for tool ideas when you visit the local hardware store.
Celebrate today by working with tools, and buying a tool or two. Receiving a tool as a gift today, makes this truely a special day.

I got "the call" early this afternoon that my dad passed away.... I know that he is in a better place and no longer suffering, frustrated - not being able to express himself, or in pain... He turned 89 last November, so he lived a long life, and it was a good life....

So sorry to hear about your dad , my sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Good morning. Well that weekend was a little nicer. Managed to BBQ Saturday and Sunday and it was great. Think my arms are going to stretch with all the hand sanding.

Teacher Fired After Children Taste Her Blood


OSLO - A Norwegian kindergarten teacher was fired this week after she brought a vial of her own blood to class and allowed children to touch and taste it, the head teacher of the kindergarten said on Friday.
The teacher in Sola, on Norway’s western coast, brought in a blood sample that was taken earlier in the day and poured it on a plate for the children, aged between 3 and 6, to see.
“The children asked if they could touch it and she allowed them,” Inger Lise Soemme Andersen told Reuters. “Then they asked ’how do we get it off?’ so she put her finger in her mouth and the children followed suit.
“The parents are mortified, shaken and shocked.“
Soemme Andersen added that the teacher, a temporary employee, had been tested for AIDS and Hepatitis B following the incident. Results of the tests are not yet in, but authorities consider the risk of transmitting any infection very low.
