What a great sunny day!!! Played some LB this morning - the theme was 70's rock so the tunes were a blasting - then a party on the patio with some music.
Heartgirl - How were the STones!!!???? lucky one to see them!!!
Lee - I've seen Trooper a few times - last year at the CNE Bandstand free - they were really good!!!
evening Q sters,
what a great concert last night. I guess everyone was at the Stones concert cause I didn't see anybody else at the Saga concert. even the opening band was great. it was a groups called Mystery. the lead singer's voice reminded me of the lead singer from Sheriff. for a minute I thought they were going to do the song Babe. their must was a cross between Sheriff & Prism. they complemented the group Saga. the lead singer was very theatrical just like Michael Sadler. Saga was totally awesome, doing all the favourites as well as some of their new stuff. there was a Saga internet group like our SC group that met up at the show. was talking with some of them. there was a couple that came up from Houston, Texas. she was originally from Austrailia & he was originally from Cicily, another couple from Tobermory. it was a fun night.
Great Ballgame tonight. Game won in the ninth with a Kawasaki walk off double. It was "Fan Appreciation" night tonight for season ticket holders. Very well organized and enjoyable time after the game. Got some great deals on merchandise and the food and beer were free. We even got a couple of autographs, one being from Kawasaki. Great way to spend the day. Night all. :)
Good evening Q' Bees.
My mom is finally back home after another 5 -6 weeks stay in the hospital.
She has a specific pain management plan in place though she needs additional help for
the first few weeks back at home. ..Cha.. ching.. Cha..ching...
I am now making plans for a small gathering for her 86th birthday in a few weeks...
I hope you all have a great week ahead...
For me,and my colleagues in Canada, we have tomorrow off. This is our long weekend...
So much to do..... so little time...
Night night my friends...
xoxoxox
Sleep tight
Glad to hear that you had fun h team!! With the weather being so cold up north this week-end, I should have considered coming home early and going to the show.... They actually did a Caribbean cruise show earlier this year that I would have loved to have gone on... What a party that would have been... Hopefully I get to their next show!!! :teeth:
Sounds like most of you had a great w/end. HG - how were the Stones? Bet you had a ball; H - glad u enjoyed the show; Lee - ur on the boat again, & soon the weather will warm up; ecat - sounds like a great time; Kawam - loved the game; really exciting to win it in the bottom of the 9th; Mechman - I remember those views; beautiful memories; Mmmme - happy ur mom's home again; hope she continues to improve.
Me, well mine sucked. Some of you might remember that I got quite sick just before my trip, had bronchial pneumonia, and my coughing pulled some muscles, well, they are so inflamed, turns out they're pinching my sciatic nerve. Geez, the pain is excruciating, & seems to be getting worse, not better !!! The meds aren't helping, so it's been a really miserable couple of weeks, but this w/end was hell.
Anyhow, that's why I haven't been on much, hurts too much to sit here.
Ok, enough of my whining. I just wanted to touch base with every1.
I'll say good night (& hope it is).
