    An overcast greeting on this muggy kind of day.

    Does anyone know how to get rid of the little bugs that seem to be eating my basil plants? I love fresh basil & this did not happen last time we planted basil?

    Companion planting with marigolds, sage, rosemary or mint will help for next time you plant.
    In the meantime try liquid dish detergent. Put a few drops in a spray bottle with water and give the plants a good shower on the tops and underneath the leaves. If the soap does not work sufficiently then add a bit of hot pepper or vinegar and see if the bugs don't just disappear. Good luck.

    Thank you dear Jester. I like the idea of the companion planting. Come to think of it, last time we planted basil we had a much larger garden. I don't think I'm allowed to plant mint anymore though....it can go a bit nutty.
