Morning all....back early from our planned week at the cottage...my dad died last night in hospital...he was worn out and tired of fighting, so I have a funeral to plan....y'know, I'm getting so good at this funeral bit, but there are sooo many other things I would rather be good at....gotta go, loads to do....TR:-(

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news... my heart hurts along with yours..

Well today Mr Mick Jagger gets in 68 hot licks,
& he sure lead a life that's been filled with some kicks!
He's rocked & shimmied all around the globe,
I can still see him gyrating in that flashing strobe,
He's had a life that is hard to conceive,
I'll bet it's even hard for him to believe!
World tours & naughtiness rolled into one,
Certainly a chap that's been seldom outdone,
He's spawned SEVEN children when the time permitted,
At least that's the number to which he's admitted,
He’s hung out with Ronnie & Keith & Charlie,
& I’ve also even heard that sometimes things can get gnarly,
Mick, oh Mick you are still one of my faves,
& I guess you’ve had experiences that are considered close shaves,
I assume that your riches help you to lay low & sit pretty,
But will you be going on tour again from city to city?
Keep on rocking & rolling cuz you know you do it well,
& if you do go on tour…..those ticket$ will sell sell sell!

last night's temps were great for sleeping, didn't want to get up this morning. i was nice & comfy under my blankie.

Thank you so much.. I have been laying the water on it every night and a little miracle grow couldn't hurt... it does look like it is trying to push out new buds.. however i'm not certain it isn't just wishful thinking on my part.

.......just doing a bit of a catch-up here, and I am overwhelmed by all the wonderful members on here, offering your support ....via reps, private messages, and on the board, so many of you have sent me a gazillion warm fluffy hugs that I will package up in my heart and pull out when I need them......thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!.....words can't say how much it helps, and how much it means to me...have I told you lately how much I love you all to the sky? (LYTTS)....
.......well, it has been a busy couple of days for sure....got my sis at the airport this afternoon, so we'll spend time tonight getting the eulogy done.....the food is ordered, the minister has been given a rough outline of who my dad was, flowers have been ordered, casket picked out, the obit notice was in both the Star and the Sun newspapers today, phonecalls made to as many people as we can remember, bagpiper booked, and calls made to insurance companies....still need to get the pension-related phonecalls done, and an appt with the bank to find out the next step to take, but that's for another day....
...some of the fellow musicians my dad knew offered their services to play for him at the funeral, but my sis and I will just burn a CD of some of the CDs he played on.....this will be the last time he will have an audience, so I don't want to cheat him out of that.....
....so that's the scoop for now....visitation is tmw, 7-9, then the funeral is Friday at 11 am, and his body will go to the crematorium directly following the service, and that, as they say, will be that....I do hope that's the last of my bad news over and done with for a good long while.....my brain and heart would really like some time off....
...once again, to all of you....thank you soooo much for caring, I will draw some much needed strength to get thru the next couple of days....you guys rock.....TR

One of the many things we admire about TartanRocker is her courage, strength & poise no matter how difficult the situation. We can all say we have learned so much from you & admire you greatly.

Hey guys, did the Edgewalk today, If you have the time watch the CTV news @ 6 and maybe I'll be on again... was on earlier at noon. It was fantastic if you ever get the chance to walk around the outside top of the CN tower DO IT. I feel so alive!!!!!
