Camping time is sure what turns your crank,
& I guess it's mother nature that you gotta thank,
The crickets chirping until deep into the night,
While the moon's reflection is shining bright,
Crack open a beer...or even three or four,
When you are camping, who's gonna keep score,
Watch out for the mosquitoes cause they can single you out,
Maybe go fishing for some bass or some trout,
Play fetch with the dogs & bbq up some grub,
Far better than sitting around at some pub,
Have a fine time & enjoy for all that it's worth,
Cause camping for Chers is her heaven on earth.

You know me so well my dear Loocie..there is no place like it..This trip is to my older brother Pauls and his lovely wife Lynns..with my brother Russ (aka Ding Dong) my Mom, Sis and her girls and my self... my poor dogs don't get to make this trip as "iggy" owns the property and doesn't allow dogs...he is 5 ft long...and runs like a bat out of h*ll

We can still gather here, we’ll just change the direction,
Cause it wouldn’t be easy to break off our connection,
We can talk about rights; we can talk about wrongs,
We can become music critics & critique all the songs,
We can talk about radio hosts from the days gone by,
We can all stick together so we don’t go awry,
I guess we could even make up words of our own,
& didn’t the “q” once feature music that they called homegrown?
We can still have coffee to begin our day,
For there’s no need to conclude our little soiree,
We can still post pictures & extend a birthday greeting,
We can still lament about the weather even though that is fleeting,
There’s lots we can do here to help pass the time,
& I may even write the occasional rhyme,
Perhaps this is one of those wait & see moments,
Maybe a retooling of the Corus components,
Besides our time here isn’t really about winning loot & stuff,
Cause we’re here for one another when the going gets rough,
Our anecdotes & parables of life shall go on,
We’re in this together kids, so we gotta be strong.
