morning Q sters,
i don't know about you, but so far, 2014 & January suck & we're not half way thru the month yet. i have some sad news, rodent & i had a death in the family this morning. Rodent in particular, is very upset. her baby hamster, Nutmeg passed away today. it was really sudden. she was playing with er last night & everything was fine, but this morning when rodent woke up, Nutmeg was lying outside of her house, not moving. rodent picked her up & she moved a bit, but was so cold. she called me & i took Nutmeg, while she called the vet. i grabbed a towel & wrapped her in it to keep warm & put the heating pad on low & laide her on it. i did notice that there was blood coming out of her nose & mouth as she took her last breath & went to Hamsterville in the sky. Nutmeg was the baby of her other hamster Penny & wasn't quite 2 years old yet. she was checking online to see why this happened to her hamster & from the symptoms, it sounds like she had a pulmantary embolism or stroke. from the info, she died without pain & that has comforted rodent. needless to say, she is so upset. we have been keeping a close eye on Penny to make sure nothing is wrong with her, but so far, she remains active.

Sorry about Nutmeg. Any pet is a valued member of the family. I hope this year picks up for you from here on in.

Finally a holiday that has meaning & one that I can relate to quite well,
For it’s the Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day, & I think it deserves a yell!
Fabulous men & wild men you can find them most everywhere,
You will see him saunter past you, for he has not a care,
Maybe he just has the look that is appealing & unique,
Maybe it’s just the jeans that fit snuggly from cheek to cheek,
Maybe it’s the hair that has the right amount of spray,
Maybe it’s his just his charm, that can lead a girl astray,
Does he do rugged man things like skateboarding on a bluff?
Does he dive & swim in ice water, cause he’s a bloke that’s tuff?
Does he ride his Harley & is his engine always revved & roaring?
Is he the kind of guy who can say not a single day is boring?
Wild Men can also cook; this I’ve learned from reading,
Wild Men can also admit mistakes; though it’s not considered conceding,
Wild Men are sexy when they vacuum or when then dust the lights,
Thank you to all the Wild Men, for us girls sure like the sights!

Not bad out today - whilst out walking around I stopped in an Art Store where a girl works. She has her dog Jake there while she works. I stopped in to see him, he's so cute and just so easy going - he could smell a treat on my hand so I gave him a couple, I had just picked up a few doggie treats, free ones, at the Global pet store so I gave him a couple. He's part Westie and part something else but sooo cute

Never a dull moment around here... I had just got home from running around this morning when I got a call from my cousin, the battery was dead in her car and she asked if I could give her a boost. NP I'll be there in 5 minutes, get there and give her a boost and I'm heading back home for bacon and football...NOT. I hear a squealing and then a bang. Not only did the bearing in the drive belt tension seized up but the drive belt to broke too. Car is at the mechanics and will be fixed tomorrow.

Time for another cold one and maybe some Vodka...
