    Good Morning!

I'm in need of coffee & I can't wait! I hope you all are in fine form on this last day in January. If I may add, so long January....don't let the door hit your arse on the way out! (you can also take Febraury with you.... I won't object)

Really great pictures of your mom Chers......sorry you've had to put her in a hospice but at least you found a nicer one.....

The Humane Society had a Volunteer Appreciation night for us last night. There was lots of pizza, veggies, fruit trays, and desserts. When we came in they gave everyone 3 tickets and you could put one in for whatever prize you wanted to win. There were $25 gift cards for The Bay, Cineplex, Starbucks etc. , a pet drinking fountain, nights stay at the Fairmount, a Dyson handheld vacuum and a few other things. I put in for the Bay gift cards and the Dyson. My name got drawn for the Dyson which I was happy with cause I could use a new one and Dyson is a great product. I was lucky as there were a lot of tickets in there! It was a nice night. I was going to try for the Fairmount which would have been great too but at the last second I threw it in for the vacuum.

Saw a couple puds get adopted yesterday - one named Cloud (grey and white) was just lying in his box looking kind of sad - I brought in the wand and he started playing - along came 2 girls looking to adopt a pud - when they seen him they took a liking to him and decided to take him home!!! So even though I was feeling sad for him - it turned out to be his lucky day!!!! Yippeee!!! Also, Maggie Paws who had been there for quite a while - very pretty but with a little attitude finally found her home and Thomas a BIG orange kitty and I mean big found his home - very glad of that - he was only there a couple of weeks but still sitting in a cage is no good for anyone especially if you are overweight and he was 13 years old (his human passed away) The other sad thing is he had a brother he grew up with who looked just like him but who got a cold and was being treated so only Thomas got adopted. Usually they keep two to be adopted together but I don't know what happened - guess they thought they better let him go if he had a chance at a home.......must be really hard on them, it would be great if this person took his brother too but I don't know the whole story.....
Thank you Ecat.. the hospice is a faily new one in St. Catharines and with only 10 rooms and plenty of staff, it is quite lovely. congrats on the vac win.. I to have heard they are a good product.
Spleaking of puds that there owner passed away... even though my Mum is still with us.. back when she was diagnosed, one of the two little mate siamese cats up and died.. broken heart I imagine.. he was also sixteen, having siamese for the last 40 years, that isn't old...the one left behind is crying day and night. I tried to take him home to my house now that Mum is at hospice but BAD BOY Seamus just chases the heck out of him.. not sure where he will go as he is really loud all of the time. =(

    Good morning, everyone.

Idiot's Delight is amazing! It takes place just as WWII is about to start, an odd assortment of characters meet in a hotel in the Italian Alps. There's drama, romance, comedy, and even a little music thrown in (you'd think I'm old enough to stop having crushes on talented actors ). Here are interviews (with some of the nicest thespians in the world) & clips from the rehearsal:

Had to change some plans around today, so I'm stuck at home. Which means I get to start on organizing my closet. If you don't hear from me for a few days, send out a search party.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning, I hope you have a great weekend.
Chers – sorry to hear about your mom, hope he is comfortable
Mechman – they say 3rd time is a charm. Must be tough, I can’t even get drops in my eyes.
Hteam – nice to hear the car fix was not too bad, and hope your little fur ball bets better.

Even though it had been posted before, with more snow on the way I thought we need a laugh!

Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer.

It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails", "highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink". Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of:
    MOUNT & DO.

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research.
This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
If you don't send this to five old friends right away there will be five fewer people laughing in the world.
