A refreshing change listening to Indie 88 (FM 88.1) who's motto "giving good music a home" is entirely appropriate. Discovering a lot of bright quality music and bands and nice to see the creative hand of legendary music guru Alan Cross -who also has an amusingly named vinyl feature, entitled "crackle & pop" The following edit from the website sums them up: The content requirements for the new station stipulate that 40 per cent of the music featured will be CanCon, of which 60 per cent must represent so-called emerging artists. If that doesn't give you a picture of what the station will actually sound like, it's not hard to suss it out based on its website, which has been up and running for a while. If you haven't sampled them, I recommend you give them a spin - for something different.

thanks for the tip, jester. i've been unsuccessfully looking for alternative music stations and had actually switched to podcasts by humble and fred, todd shapiro and listening to talk radio 1010. alan cross was filling in as a cohost on the live drive last week. it was interesting to hear him talk about subjects other than music. he's a smart guy.

looking forward to giving cfny a listen next week when dominik diamond returns as the morning host.

Free to good home. My girlfriend doesn't like my dog, so I appeal to you.
She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she's a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love ...when you're down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
So........anyone interested in my 30 year old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed!
