heading out Saturday - back September 9th............. will take lots of pi cs.....am still checking out stuff like theatre, kayaking, ice berg outing on a zodiak, hiking....in Trinity there's a pagent that is performed throughout the streets of the town - how cool, and have a day booked cycling on Fogo Island (staying on the island 3 days).... about 5 days in Gros Morne .. and of course a few days up in L'Anse aux Meadows visitng Electric Vikings family and harem Boat tour and hiking - western brook pond.... so much fun planning...again if anyone has any suggestions would be ever so grateful for suggestions...

okay time to go - needless to say - have not accomplished much in the way of packing tonight - having way too much fun on here, and enjoying getting caught up with people.... sounds corny perhaps - but I will miss you folks....

Happy Sunday evening Q'Bees!
The H-Team and I enjoyed a fabulous time in NYC and we arrived
home safely late this am.
We went on some great tours and even go to have lunch at one
of the first Pizzeria's in New York who also were the ones that invented
Spumoni ice-cream. It was news to me to find out that the real
Spumoni didn't have strawberry in it. It was Almond, Pistachio & Chocolate!
We also enjoyed real Siciliean pizza- and it had no toppings on it.
It was excellent and very filling.

here are a couple of pics of the pizzeria that we stopped to have lunch at. the pizza crust is double risen & is as thick as focaccia bread & shaped in a square, not round. herbs & spices are kneaded into the dough for the crust. mozzarella cheese is then placed on top of the crust & the tomato sauce is added on top of the cheese. the sauce is slow cooked for hours till it is very sweet. parmasean & romano cheese is sprinkle on top. there are very few topping choices for this style of authentic pizza, not like the round style of pizza, which can have a multitude of toppings. this cicilan style is really great as is without any toppings & filling as well. the spumoni is home made & was to die for. this place has won numerous awards from the food network.
