So glad to hear you devote the day to playing with your "brats" andi!:-) Our pets definitely need and deserve our attention more than just a little. Today I walked downtown and guy with his dog was ahead of me for quite a few blocks. I felt kind of sorry for his doggie - the guy never talked to him at all and wouldn't let him stop for a minute and then he tied him on a very short least while he went in and ordered breakfast. He could have at least talked to him, given him a treat when he left or something - they have feelings too!!!!!

You may remember me mentioning Barcelona and how much I wanted her to get a home - well, I just got this news and wanted to share!!!!:top: I'm soooo excited for both of them!!!! Yippeeeeee!!!!!!:lol:
Congrats to two very special cats... Barcelona and Zanzibar have finally gone HOME!
Three year old Barcelona was transferred to us from another shelter in April. She needed to be spayed and required some dental work when she first arrived. We then discovered she had colitis which we eventually managed to get under control. Needless to say, Barcelona spent quite a bit of time at the THS clinic but despite it all, this sweetie remained as affectionate as could be and continued to shower volunteers and staff with kisses. Greg and Morgan noticed this gorgeous gal on our website and had to come to the shelter to meet her. Sure enough it was love at first sight and they just had to make her part of their family.
Two year old Zanzibar came to us in May via the Toronto Feral cat rescue. Like many male cats left outside intact he is FIV+. And like many FIV+ cats, Zanzibar is incredibly sweet and affectionate and absolutely loves being fussed over by volunteers and staff. Finally, Zanzibar’s special someone, Megan came along and fell head over heels over this guy and took him home.
We are so thrilled that these fantastic felines have found their forever homes – we wish Barcelona and Zanzibar many, many happy years with their new families! Congratulations to all!
