I agree with you Loocie, ewwwww!
I hope you are feeling better ecat, and Jake too Hicks....
What a busy few days...
When we were in Mexico in January, we met another couple from Mexico City. His English was fantastic, so we spent quite a bit of time talking to him. He's a psychologist and asked to speak at a conference in Montreal next week, so he asked if he could stop and visit us on his way.... We took him to Niagara Falls / NOTL yesterday for the "tour". It was a great day and I'm so glad that we didn't get any rain until our drive home...
Today is my son's birthday, so we're celebrating at the boat.... the sun is just starting to come out, so I'm hoping that the weather will cooperate for us and we can eat outside...
I hope everyone has a great week-end!! :teeth:
Good morning my Q friends.

Good morning! Happy Saturday!
My son and I are spending the day together: farmers' market and taekwondo competition.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
Did anybody happen to hear the 11AM code?
Good morning, everyone. :)
Happy Caturday!!!

Had fun last night at the theatre, another round of Somerset Maugham. I always find it weird when I LOATHE the characters, but LOVE the staging (& especially the actors!). One of my fav parts is having actors hold up empty frames to represent portraits & then - ***spoiler alert*** - collapse onto the stage when psycho girl slashes the paintings (don't worry, fellow art lovers, she gets her comeuppance in the end ;)).
Can use any prayers that can be spared, please. (non-cruising) bff's Dad ended up back in hospital to deal with an infection he likely caught while getting a biopsy done. Speaking of which, none of the 3 (!) biopsies have been conclusive as to whether he is dealing with cancer, although the specialist is 100% convinced that is his diagnosis. :( At this point, he has to get rid of the infection & regain his strength, so he can have surgery to remove his gallbladder (the original source of the problem) and only then can they do more testing to deal with the cancer portion of the issue. Poor S is stressed to the max & wants to spend time with them, but her parents insist she stay away, especially now that nasty bugs are involved. :(
I'll keep my opinions to myself about the competence of experts who can't get enough tissue sample after 3 biopsies to draw a proper conclusion. :(
On the plus side, I have tentative plans to hang out with a friend I haven't seen in a few months next week. Can't wait! :) Unfortunately, the restaurant we used to go to for dinner closed down cause it was a money-laundering front (only us, I swear lol), so we need to find a new place to hang out. That's the second time that's happened to me with a restaurant closing due to criminal activities, so I'm no longer allowed to pick where we go. :P
Off to squish the brats.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. :)
My reasons to rep all you Smart Canucks.
Do not include for the mega big bucks,
Maybe you are all just worth commending,
So it all makes sense this rep I am sending,
Rep with sprinkles on your ice cream cone,
& a touch of rep too for that heavenly cologne,
If your hair is in a bun, you get repped too,
& rep if you are making your singing debut,
Rep goes out here with the click of this mouse,
It's a free round of reps for the entire house,
Rep if you've sailed the Mediterranean Sea,
& rep if you sipped a glass of heavenly chablis,
I must also rep you if you've been to Florence,

It's just extra rep with your coffee today,
Brought to you from Loocie at the Repper's Cafe.

Prayers duly dispatched Andit
Wonder why criminal money never shows up in the rinse cycle?
(This was a reply to Andi's post)
