Day 5 of 14 volunteering at the Pan Am games completed. Having a great time and meeting a lot of new people within the community. What a Great city we live in :) :). Lucky enough to have had the opportunity to watch live, Synchronized swimming, Diving and Synchronized Diving. Canada medaled in all of the events I was able to watch. Full house at every event. Go Canada!!!!!
You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.
Thanks all
I don't know if any of you are watching the All Star pregame & game, but when they brought Joe Morgan, Jonny Bench, Sandy Koufax, Hank Aaron, Pete Rose & Willie Mays out onto the field, I found that I would never have recognized any of them.
I spent years watching them, a huge fan of each of them, but they're looking so old and out of shape. Joe was using a cane, & Willie needed an attendant to help him stand / walk.
Personally, I found it very sad, almost disturbing, to see such wonderful athletes, in such poor condition.
I know none of us are as we were in our youth, but that ceremony really hammered it home; hit me like a sledge hammer. :(
what a terrible night for the def leppard concert!
i hope it's not raining down there. it's been pouring here for a while and it's quite windy.
It just started here about 5 minutes ago. Wow, is the temp. ever dropping as well !!
I scored a pair to Canned Heat too, I know Sparti already had some.
Going to try and get down for a set. On the road again...

After reading about string theory for two hours, my brain decided to go into a coma out of self defense.
1. Everything is made of molecules (duh).
2. Molecules are made of atoms (also duh).
3. Atoms are made of electrons, protons, and neutrons (very duh).
4. Electrons, protons, and neutrons can be split in half to create quarks.
5. Quarks are actually made of even smaller pieces, called strings.
Strings are eleven-dimensional (ten dimensions + time) bits of energy that not only make up the above particles but create forces including gravity, electromagnetism, strong nuclear forces, weak nuclear forces, and a few other forces that have not yet been discovered.
Strings are so infitismally small that anyone with an IQ of less that 400 (ie, all humans) is incapable of imagining how small they are. To give you an example, imagine an atom of hydrogen was the size of the solar system. On the same scale, a single string would be the size of small tree.
Child's play in comparison to the Mandelbrot set of fractals!
A string in string theory is about 10^-35 m and the radius of the visible universe about 10^26, so that's 61 orders of magnitude, this has 341 orders of magnitude!!

Oh ya, these are coloured graphs of points generated by that formula,
in case I wasn't clear....these can be generated into infinity with what
looks like somewhat repeatable images although they're not.
Got it? Glad I cleared that up aren't you.
