Another poster dug this up from the 1985 pennant race.
Gotta love it.

It's a good day for a nice homemade bowl of soup with a good French Stick & salad. Who can bring dessert?

Lol on the cash side! Glad you were able to figure out what it means! Sort of like a Tweet where it is one of the Top Tweets in a region! Glad you set it up for HG though, very nice of you. Have a great day all. I think I will take the wifey to a movie tonight as we have spent zero time together for a week! Keep the wife happy, makes my life happy!
Feeling unknown and you're all alone, flesh and bones by the telephone,
lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer!
Take second best, put me to the test, things on your chest, you need to confess!
I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver!

Hi Everyone,
The weekend was cool and dreary but I managed to fit in a few festivals. Went to the Vegetarian Festival at Harborfront on Friday night and a few hours today. It's getting bigger all the time which is good. Went to a cooking demo with Doug McNish, he turned vegan a few years back after witnessing the atrosities that happen to animals raised for food and he's made three cookbooks and has a restaurant, he made some tempeh balls with cashew butter and you wouldn't believe how tasty they were, I seen him last year too and he made a pasta dish, he uses a lot of raw organic foods. Heard a talk by Dr R Caine who wrote a book about Teaching Compassion: on behalf of the animals.
Saw some art work by a girl who spent years working undercover at factory farms etc. - one picture was of a small cow in one of those transport trucks (you know the silver ones with the holes in them on their way to the slaughterhouse) with a sign saying "Baby on Board", that truth really got to me - actually made me cry - it's true those poor baby calves taken from their mother's at birth kept in those little crates not able to move so their "meat" will be more tender and then sent to be killedseriously what gives people the right.........please if you start anywhere don't eat "veal"!!!!!! by eating it you are adding to this atrosity really................
Also, had lots of samples and bought a few things..............
Went to the Cabbagetown Festival too, seemed better this year, more music, it's neat walking around the streets there with all the sales going on.....
Also walked around King Street - the part closed off for TIIF................
