Good morning!
Good morning fellow Canucks!
Lee, congratulations on your daughter's achievement! I can tell you are so proud of her.
madchives, get well soon.
Well folks, it looks like we are getting the remnants of Hurricane Patricia. Even though it is garbage day for us today, I decided to not put the blue boxes out in case they blow away.
Speaking of Patricia, here is a cheezy with extra cheese joke:
What do you call a girl with no arms and no legs on the barbecue?
Patty.
Oh no I am on a roll, here is another:
What do you call a guy with nor arms and no legs on the barbecue?
Frank.
Okay, I won't quit my day job and will leave the quality humour to Jester.
Have a great day folks!
On the contrary @kenrod - those were hi-quality on my scale
Good morning
Mechman – nice David Gilmore video
Lee – congrats
Madchives – hope you feel better
I’m going to give it shot & compose a few lines specifically all about rain,
Many songs have be written, why just think of the Rain in Spain,
CCR sang Who'll Stop The Rain & to that I don't think there's an explanation,
I Wish it Would Rain was a serenade given to us by The Temptations,
It's Raining Again by Supertramp certainly sums up this day,
& Rainy Day People by Gordon Lightfoot kinda says what a heart should portray,
Purple Rain by Prince isn't exactly uplifting & upbeat,
& who can't forget Gene Kelly Singing in the Rain & dancing his way through the street?
James Taylor sang about Fire & Rain & that was tragic & I think a little bit of a lament,
& if you listen to Raining In My Heart by Buddy Holly it will be an exceptional 3 minutes spent,
Mandolin Rain by Bruce Hornsby will probably take you bake to the eighties decade,
& Rain Fall Down by the Rolling Stones is another funky song to which I have swayed,
I know there are many more rain songs, by my think cap is tapped,
So if you're going outside take your brolley, or in a cloud of rain you'll be trapped,
A good day to stay inside, read a book or catch up with someone you are missing,
Also not a bad day to cuddle up with your honey for some kissing!

Hey Lee, What an accomplishment for your daughter. Congratulations to her. All that hard work paid off.
Just admiring your pictures Knottythots. Looks like it was an incredible evening.
Feel better MadChives.
I spent yesterday at PMH. Things continue to be fairly well for me. I'll be back there in 2 weeks for the usual thing. Today will be a day that sees relaxation as tops on my agenda. The fatigue seems to be hanging around today.
Morning Q-sters

Did someone say a get together at a LoneStar...Count me in!!!

Rainy Hump Day Afternoon, Q sters,
Great weather if you're a duck or fish. Down at the end of works driveway has become a lake. If it keeps going, it may be an ocean. At least the under carriage of the car will be cleaned off. :P
Most of Southern Ontario Bracing For Strong Autumn Storm
It’s going to be a nasty couple of days of weather in Toronto thanks to the remnants of hurricane Patricia. Rain wind and flood warnings have been issued across much of southern Ontario.
Forecasters predicted a “large shield of rain” in advance of the system that will bring fierce winds by tomorrow. Heavy rain and possible power outages are also expected by late today.
Most areas will see up to 40mm of rain, with winds gusting up to 70 km/h.
Did You Know?
There are more TV sets in the US than there are people in the UK.
I wonder how many play stations to TVs there are?
Extracurricular Ban Means No Sports, Clubs For Elementary Schools
Ontario’s elementary teachers are no longer coaching sports teams, directing the school play or running after-school clubs with a ban on extracurricular activities now in place in public schools.
As part of their escalated job action to put pressure on the government and school boards at the negotiating table, teachers were to officially cancel teams and clubs as of Wednesday.
Some school in Toronto did this last week after the new measures were announced by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.
The only ones that suffer are the kids.
