Good morning – yesterday I got the notice for the presale for the World of Hockey, I got two seats but wow, are they expensive. I bought the cheapest seats in the second from top row on the ends. The good seats were going for $4,000 for 17 games. With the World Juniors they took the cost over four payments, this was all at once.

Loocie – have a great birthday!
Happy Friday Jr, Q sters,
So far the weather has been great today. Suppose to be the warmest day this week, tomorrow a little cooler, then single digits for the weekend. As long as it's dry, don't care. Hate having to move in the wet or white stuff.
Raptors won their 5th in a row. Something's working there.
Hydro One Shares Begin Trading on TSX Today
Hydro One, the giant transmission utility whose sale has sparked political controversy in Ontario, makes its debut on the TSX today in one of the largest initial public offerings in Canada in 15 years.
The Ontario government has said it plans to use the $1.66 billion generated by selling 13.6 per cent of its stake in the company to fund transit and infrastructure projects.
The sale of 81.1 million shares, priced at $20.50 each, is the first step in the government's plan to gradually part ways with 60 per cent of the electrical utility behemoth.

DeRozan Leads Raptors Past Thunder to Remain Unbeaten
DeMar DeRozan scored 10 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, and the Toronto Raptors overcame an eight-point deficit in the final six minutes to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-98 on Wednesday night and remain undefeated. Toronto improved to 5-0 and continued the best start in franchise history.
Jets Top Maple Leafs
Alexander Burmistrov atoned for two bad penalties, and the Winnipeg Jets made good on their vow to respond after a clunker in Montreal. Burmistrov scored the game-winning goal out of the penalty box with two minutes left to give the Jets a 4-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Today Is...
Men Make Dinner Day is aimed at the men who never cook. The day has its own website which features reasons for participation, rules for today and even some simple recipes to get you started.
Rules include a no interference policy for the women of the household, no feeding the resulting meal to the dog, and no barbecuing.
Thank you Heartgirl for making my birthday thread, It is a absolute privilege to be here. The support & encouragement that I get from my dear old Smart Canucks friends is really unmeasurable. You all know what I have been dealing with for far too long & I'm not going to mention it by name.
My actual birthday is tomorrow, but early celebrations are just fine & fantastic by me. Not sure what we will be doing to honour my 57th, but I just know we'll think of something. I've already got some really nice cards via our old friend Canada Post & it's great to feel so special.
Take care & have a terrific Thursday.
Good morning, everyone. :)
Been burning the candle at both ends again. Had a whack of appointments this week, one of which was before the clinic opened (nice of them to fit me in so I don't have to wait several months, but 7am is an ungodly hour, sheesh!).
Critters are doing well. Slightly annoyed at the hours I'm keeping, and still insisting dinner be served at the "old" hour (early breakfast is just fine ;)). I've been babysitting a neighbour's cat this week. The poor guy is a bit lonely, so I've spent a bit of time playing with him. Lily dog was excited the first day I came back from my visit and could smell the kitty. Then there was Quincy cat's reaction. I hadn't realized that that was the first time I'd ever babysat a male kitty. Quincy rushed over to sniff me when I came back, stopped dead and started growling and hissing. Then he realized he was hissing at me and was thoroughly confused. Suffice to say that he is not a happy camper and thinks I'm cheating on him. There is good reason I call him my jealous boyfriend. :P
Better go play with the brats before I run off to check on the neighbours (busy week, I have a lonely doggy and lonely kitty to entertain).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. :)
