Two Air France Flights Diverted Due To Threats – One Lands In Halifax

Two Air France planes en route to Paris from the United States have been diverted after bomb threats made from the ground. One Flight from Washington has landed at Halifax Stan-field Airport in Nova Scotia. RCMP officers and emergency services were on the ground when the plane touched down but it has landed safely. All 298 passengers and crew are said to have exited the plane and been taken to a secure area in the airport. A second plane from Los Angeles to Paris has landed safely in Salt Lake City.

Maple Leafs Beat Avalanche For Fourth Win in Five Games

The much-maligned Toronto Maple Leafs special-teams units enjoyed a special night against the Colorado Avalanche. The Leafs got four goals on the power play and one short-handed to beat the Avalanche 5-1 Tuesday night at Air Canada Centre for their fourth victory in five games.
