Morning everyone. I hope we are all getting a coffee & some brekkie. A re-posted poem to remind us who Smart Canucks really are.





I was thinking just the other day just what defines a Smart Canuck,
Are we a bunch of goofballs who like to run amuck?
We celebrate; we chat & chalk up milestones,
We’re sopranos & we’re tenors & even baritones,
We talk about sports & sometimes movie flicks,
& sometimes we will groan when we post giant pix,
We’re Moms, we’re Dads, and we’re daughters & sons,
We’re word-twisters, snow bees & we like to make puns,
We’re animal lovers & cooks, who have great imaginations,
& all of us are withstanding when it comes to temptations,
Some of us have been married for a very long, long time,
& some of us still have what it takes to keep us in our prime,
There are single parents who give their all & they’re always so busy,
& some of us need to slow down, or we’ll wind up in a tizzy,
We all have great taste in music & of course in fine cuisine,
& all of us know the hard way, that life can be so unforeseen,
We’ve grieved, we’ve wished, we’ve vented & ranted,
& sometimes we’ve thought others, have views that are slanted,
Some of us can even put a Smart Canuck face to a name,
Cause we’ve all seen the group shots that belong in a frame,
We all hope that absent friends come back & at least say hello,

Still waiting for the sunshine to appear - good thing I'm headed to Nevada for some Vit D. Brats are cranky that it's so gloomy and are blaming me. Thankfully treats go a long way to appeasing them. At least while they're chewing.

Have to do a bit of research today to figure out an itinerary for the trip. So far I'm stuck on M (the Mob Museum and M&M Candy museum). Starting to get excited, but trying not to let the brats know - Quincy cat is going to be soooo angry with me when I get back, even though he'll be spoiled rotten while I'm gone. Poor baby.

Off to go play with Lily dog - she's squeaking her toy at me.

Perhaps if you rent a car, you can go to Valley of Fire State Park. It is located about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. It is beautiful and it would make a nice day trip.

If you go to my FB pictures, look up my album called "Mountains, Canyons and Valley of Fire". Somewhere in the middle of that pictorial there are a lot of pictures of this state park.
