She is exhausted, less from being sick than having people screaming night and day in emergency and not being able to rest for 3 days. Sigh. Been there, done that. If I had a hospital of my own to run, I would create a sound-proofed room in the ER where the noisy ones can scream at each other.
In the end I didn't get selected for jury duty - I came very close to having to travel for 2+hrs each way for the better part of a month (new offices are at Keele/401) where the inquest is to take place. Wanted to do my part to help, but happy I don't have to make that commute.
The play last night was amazing (Gaslight) - it's my fave movie and the stage version does not disappoint (a few differences, but great performances). :)
Thought life was finally getting back on track to happy normalcy. Should have known better. Sigh. When I got home yesterday, Lily dog was lying near the front door - not her usual napping spot and she's rarely *that* excited to see me, so I knew something was up. She had problems getting up - front half working great, back half not so much. I checked her over - no bleeding, bruising, nothing broken that I could find. She managed to get herself together enough to go out for a quick breath of fresh air (I half carried her - I really really need to build up my muscles, she's heavy!). Then she went to her bed and has been snoozing ever since. Check with the vet, who agrees with my diagnosis of a pinched nerve (been there, done that). So my poor girl has to stay in bed for a few days. Quincy cat is very jealous that Lily gets to lie in bed and eat bonbons, while he has to work for his kibble. ;) I have no idea what my girl did to herself, when I pinched a nerve it was simply from tossing and turning from a restless night's sleep.
Stress level is still high, so I'll have to find a way to fix that. Tempted to do some online shopping. :P
Off to check on the brats, Quincy is keeping a close eye on Lily, which is unnerving the poor girl.
Hope everyone enjoys their evening. :)
