Well, we only had a 15 blizzard about 5:00 yesterday.
The roads were dry this morning, so I went & picked up my car.
I'm going to run a few small errands before the major storm hits.
It's sooooo nice being able to get out.

Well, my daughter made it back in one piece around 5 p.m. but she said it was pretty slippery and way to windy.....she wouldn't have taken the bike but with the streetcars and subway not running it seemed like the best option (at least going in!) She is a pretty seasoned rider but said today the winds were coming in 3 directions!!!

Did you make it to your class BWW? There is some accumulation here but not too much - we'll see by tomorrow, they do exaggerate at times about the weather but I have a feeling this time there may be a bit of shoveling
to do!

Kawam - I'm so, so, vey jealous !!!! I haven't been to the Jays spring training in a couple years. Have a wonderful time, and cheer for me. Go Jays.

Lee - welcome back. 30 in Mexico, that would be so nice. What did the resort do for your 4th visit ?

Rockit - drive carefully today, and I hope Thursday goes well. I'm sure you don't want to go back in for more surgery, but that much closer to being 100% again.

The resort is massive (almost 50 acres) and the first time we were there we had a beautiful view high up on the mountain, but far from everything. Although you can get a ride anywhere you would like to go on the resort, we liked our second room better because it was lower on the hill, but closer to everything. It also has a terrace which is so nice to enjoy in the morning. The last two times there we requested the same room with the terrace and they have accommodated. This year, they left us slippers and robes (which is usually only provided in the upgraded rooms), and a carved wooden turtle souvenir. They also left us a plate of fruit upon arrival and something each day in our room. Here are some examples of the daily presents:



It was even a nicer bonus to see that the room had been renovated since the last time we were there last year!!

The Hangover Cure

01/28/2016 Recipes Drinks Alex Picot-Annand Ginger Coconut Water



Coconut water rehydrates and apple cider vinegar and ginger promote digestion and tame nausea.
Ingredients

350 ml coconut water
1 inch knob fresh ginger root
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
6 ice cubes
Method

Add coconut water, ginger, and apple cider vinegar to a high-speed blender and blend until ginger has completely broken up.
Pour liquid over a strainer, into a glass, so the ginger fibres are collected. Discard fibres.
Add ice to strained mixture, and enjoy.

Thank you all for the warm welcome home!! We landed early Saturday morning, so as far as I'm concerned, I had the warm air follow our plane home and brought the warm temperatures that we had Psunday!!

I just wish I could have kept it here a little longer for all of us to enjoy....
