Lily & I went to a BBQ/garden party yesterday (Lily got a last minute invite since the weather was so perfect). It turns out that Lily is a city dog, through & through. After an hour, she had enough of being outside & whined whenever anyone went into the house. I initially thought it was because she wanted everyone to be together, but eventually realized she'd had enough of the great outdoors (yes, I'm sometimes very slow on the uptake :P). Unfortunately, the resident pet is very timid, so no 4 legged visitors allowed inside. We left just after it got dark, so the poor girl had to spend a few minutes in my friend's car (it was beside the window so Lily could see in & we could keep an eye on her) while I said my good-byes & helped a bit with the dishes. The look on her face was priceless - "Hey, I'm here in the car, where the :rant: is the chauffeur?!" :lolsign:
We stayed over at my folks' place, so she spent a good hour trying to figure out why they weren't home. Clearly the girl doesn't understand the concept of a vacation. :rolleyes:
Better go enter all the words from yesterday, I'm far enough behind in my routine as it is. Think I'll go play with the brats first. ;)
