Good morning. This weekend I had decided I would tackle the family leaky pool. It was leaking so much water last year that it could go down a few inches overnight. After draining and power washing it last week, I took Friday afternoon off to start with repairs as the weather was not too hot. So that is what I did and it was a mistake. You see the wife has not been feeling well for the last few days. She went to the clinic on Wednesday and they said go get blood tests on Thursday and come back on Sunday. Well she did but was having a bad stomach and back pain. On Friday morning I said it was stupid to wait till Sunday and let’s go to the hospital, but she said no and went to work. When I came home at lunch she finally decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. She insisted that I work and she would just run over. Well after getting an ultra sound and checked out it turns out it was Gastritis. And they gave her pain killer to ease the pain. But a pain killer and not eating all day, throw her for a loop. She said she was fine diving home and even in the grocery store, but a mile from home she started getting dizzy. She pulled over and called me but I was in the pool with a grinder. After her head cleared she decided to dive the rest of the way. She got all the way to within three houses away and the traffic stopped as they were finally paving our street after three years of construction. She said the next thing she knew she waking up and all she sees in green grass and people are knocking on the window. Turns out she passed out while stopped. Must have had more pressure on her right hand as she rolled into a shallow ditch and into a fire hydrant. Meanwhile I’m in the pool grinding away when I hear all kinds of sirens just around the corner, but no idea they are for her, but for some reason I got out of the pool and called her to see where she was, no answer. Ten minutes later my son comes home from work and said what’s with all the fire trucks and ambulance at the corner as they diverted him another route. So just as I was walking around to the frontto see all the commotion, my wife’s calls my son and tell us she’s the one in the ambulance and get her out of there before they take her to the hospital. I run over and she been checked out and she ok, light headed and wants to go home. After she got some food in her she sleeps for about 10 hours. And on Saturday she was fine and planted flowers with my son while I ground the pool. She spends hours on Saturday night trying to find parts for the damaged car as she feels guilty about damaging my car. But it’s not her fault its mine, I should have went with her, I should have been driving not her, thank goodness she was not hurt.
Habs nice pictures, happy belated anniversary

@Knottythots, that sounds like a scary day, one which could have been so much worse. Glad your DW's feeling better, but I'm sure you were worried sick for awhile. Chalk it up as a lesson learned, for both of you.
So, did you finish repairing the pool ?

Aircraft carriers don't travel alone, soon the planned Russian carrier and battle group will put
the two in close proximity, potential for disaster increases dramatically.
Reuters) - U.S. fighter jets on Saturday launched a second day of air strikes against Islamic State targets from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, according to a U.S. Navy official.
F/A-18 Hornets launched from Truman conducted strikes against ISIS targets in Syria, according to a senior defense official familiar with the operation. The Navy strike fighters flew over Turkey for a majority of the flight, the official added to minimize exposure to Russian air defenses now operational in western Syria along the Mediterranean coast, the official added.
The U.S. Navy did not alert Russian or Syrian officials before conducting the strike operations against the Islamic State, Fox News is told.
The Russians have set up an S-400 fourth-generation surface-to-air missile system in Syria late last year.
Truman and her escort ships transited the Suez Canal, Thursday according to the Navy.

Thunderstorms have started, and my pup is hiding. Thankfully, we got back from our walk with about 2 minutes to spare. We did get a little wet, but the thunder held off till we got inside.
He's so scared of thunder.

So glad your wife is okay KT's, wow must have been scary......
Just watched a documentary on Janis Joplin, so sorry she succumed so early to the wrath of drugs, she was such a talent, she rose so high above those who cut her up in high school, I still cry when I hear "Ball & Chain" and various other songs she did - So Much Feeling!!!! I'm sure she would have put out a whole lot of great music for many years if only.......
Thanks for the update H-team, your pud is sure a fighter and I'm so happy she had a loving home for her whole life, not much more they could ask for.....but it must be very hard on you......
