The northern part of NFLD is cold. Thursday night they had a frost warning & because of that, you could see the Northern Lights that night. WOW!. Friday morning, we had a boat cruise down iceberg alley & whale watching & i had long johns, 2 shirts, 2 hoodies, a nylon jacket & mitts on. North Atlantic is dang cold. As our boat tour guide said, if you like winter, you'll love St. Anthony's. It might get to 15-17 degrees at the warmest point in the summer, but frost in JULY! AHHHHH!!!!! It was what they called Julyuary. Great trip thou, glad i went, the scenery & life style is like no other. They didn't have electricity until 1965 in most outposts & the TCH is the only major road thru the island. A traffic jam is 12 cars going by before you can turn. Will try & get some pics for you all. It is really the simple, wholesome life out there.

Oh, I should have scrolled further on before replying. Thanks for sharing you pictures. I was going to bypass Brigus, but your pictures show that it is a picturesque town. Perhaps we will check it out on our way to Harbour Grace and Heart's content after leaving St. John's.

I also want to take a picture of that sign at Dildo, and on the same day we plan on visiting Trinity on our way to Bonavista to stay there for the night. It is a long drive, but we only have a week so see everything. Do you think the itinerary that day is a little ambitious?

Good morning fellow Canucks!

While H Team was traveling around Newfoundland, over the weekend, my family and I were traveling the world. No, I am not one-upping on H team, we went to Carabram... Brampton's multicultural "Caravan".

We visited all 12 pavilions. Friday night was Eelam (the Tamil part of Sri Lanka), Ireland and Africa. Saturday we traveled to India, Hawaii, Latin America, Portugal, Nepal and Philippines. Yesterday our son played a gig at Long & McQuades, then after that we visited Canada, Caribbean and China.

Whew! I think I have jet lag. Perhaps I should have called in sick for work today.

I had a rough night, and only got a couple of hours sleep. Not sure how I'll make it through the day, but I'm back from my appt. with the surgeon, and just popping by to say hi & wish you a good day before I'm off and running again.

Stunning & beautiful pictures HTeam. You must have had such a wonderful holiday. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here. I am really enjoying this summery weather. I'm getting organized for my trip downtown tomorrow to Princess Margaret. I intend to talk to my doc about other possibilities regarding my treatment. I am going to have to make some well thought out decisions.
