I'm keeping it nice & simple. This recipe is from one of my mother's cookbooks. I always spice it up a little bit & add cardamom, a pinch of rosemary & a little bit of cayenne pepper...a little bit of garlic never hurts either.

I've been feeling chilly all day.

Tricking, treating & scary thoughts & maybe a goblin or two,
Witches, caldrons & potions – some things that are screaming boo!
Pumpkins glowing on the porch & cob webs in your trees,
Howling echoes from everywhere haunting up the breeze,
The Smart Canuck Halloween party was ready to commence,
Everyone was so ready for a night of pure suspense,
All of us in disguise to make it that much more mysterious,
& if we see anyone dressed as skiers we sure will not be curious,
If you see a Lobster I’m advising you to run!!!!
& I’d bet that Chers1 costume will incorporate the sun,
Elmo’s duds will be beyond “grand” we all know that for sure,
& psells will try to trick us going unpretentious & demure,
I already know who could fill the bill of Curly, Larry & Moe,
& you people dressed as 4 legged friends will put on quite a show,
We can have rockers & rollers & golfers & bowlers,
Or video game enthusiasts dressed as controllers,
I hear Charlie Sheen masks are popular this year,
But masks like that will get a Bronx cheer,
No pregnant nuns or hookers or guys dressed as Mark Spitz,
& make sure your attire is a costume that fits,
Loocie will tell you as I end this verse,
You won’t recognize me, cause I’ll be Ethel Mertz!

Check out these hauntingly beautiful and historical graveyards from around the world.
“Most famous”, “Most haunted”, “Most beautiful”, “Most historical”, all adjectives associated with graveyards. It’s difficult to make an absolute determination on any of these fronts, as history, beauty, spirituality, and fame are all open to the interpretation, values, beliefs, and eyes of the beholder. One thing is for sure, graveyards are fascinating places to visit. They offer a micro shot of a society, or a certain portion of society, and define succinctly our place within that society. Some of us find peace in them, some of us find pain. Some find them frightening, and some find them beautiful. How we bury and honour our loved ones, our heroes, our enemies, and our brave after death often tells the casual visitor to that memorial a life’s story in one etched sentence, or picture, or statue, or unmarked plot.
I had the opportunity to visit Recoleta Cemetary in Buenos Aires. It is in a very rich neighborhood, they say people would die to live in Recoleta and then be buried there. The cemetery is above ground and contains about 4800 vaults. It is like a small city with streets. We actually got lost walking through it. The most famous grave is that of Eva Peron, very unassuming but covered daily with fresh flowers. The casket of the most recently deceased of the family is displayed in the window, there are basements where the rest of the family members caskets are placed. Spooky but amazing at the same time.

Man stabbed over alleged Monopoly cheating 0

There is no card in Monopoly that advises a player to stab another.
There is, however, one that orders you to go to jail.
And that's where a New Mexico woman found herself after a game of Monopoly with her boyfriend and 10-year-old son turned bloody.
Convinced he was cheating, Laura Chavez, 60, of Santa Fe, N.M., grabbed a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbed Clyde "Butch" Smith.
According to the arrest warrant obtained by the Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper, "[The boy] stated his grandma, Laura, and [her boyfriend] were both drinking a beer from the same can while playing the game (of Monopoly.) [The boy] further advised that during the time they were playing the game, his grandma and [her boyfriend] started to argue because she thought [the boyfriend] was cheating at Monopoly."
The paper reported that after police responded to a call at the home in southwest Santa Fe Wednesday, they found 48-year-old Smith "bleeding heavily from his head and right wrist area."
Chavez - who police say admitted stabbing the man - was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a household member with a deadly weapon, battery upon a peace officer, assault upon a peace officer and resisting or evading a police officer.
Smith, meanwhile, remained hospitalized late Wednesday but was in stable condition.

Geez that's taking it a little far, whatever happened to "it's only a game"!
