I don't know, I grew up in the OXford (69) exchange. I do remember the GRover and Hargrave exchanges as well, but I can't recall the numbers.

Once the switching went to digital all advantage was lost.
I remember when it changed in our part of Scarborough, we lost our Axminster (29_) number series.
But I never understood why Willowdale got to kept the Baldwin (22_) series?

our phone number, 40 years ago, used to be le(nnox)6-8244.
too bad i can't remember what i did last week.......

ok, i don't remember any of those exchanges. when i was growing up, we had 7 digit numbers & the 1st 3 numbers more or less designated with area you lived in, Clarkson area was 822 or 823, Lorne Park, Port Credit ares was 278, Cooksville was 270, willowdale was 223. then later on when toronto got too big, you had to dial the area code in front of the exchange (416), then later came the (905) etc.

O.k. so here are the demands of those heartless
Bon Jovi band members.
If we ever want to see Stewy again someone
has to request one of their songs at noon today.
I know it's a difficult thing to ask but someone
has to take a bullet for the team.
There is no phone service here in the mountains
of Lithuania so one of YOU must make the ultimate sacrifice.

Sorry to say not skiing today. Roads very bad shape here with the freezing rain. Schools buses & exams are cancelled. W*rk already called begging me to come in for the day.....laughed & said no thanks.

Glad that I have Fridays off. It was freezing rain when I went to bed last night. Looked out the window this morning and can see that the snow plow already went by but it is snowing quite heavy again right now. I bet the kids are happy that there is no school today!
