another sunny, but cool day out. should warm up some, so get out & enjoy if you can. tomorrow will be the hot day, maybe call in sick then. a golf course near you is calling your name.

my day started in a mad rush this morning. i remember my alarm going off at 4:30am & as usual i went & hit the snooze button, or so i thought. woke up 2 hours later with the cat bugging me, feed me feed me, looked at the clock & it was 6:30am! HOLY COW, I'M LATE! jumped out of bed & was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. got lunch made, dressed, cats fed & watered, inhaled breakfast, washed & teethe brushed & to the car in a 1/2 hour. about 10 mins later than i usually leave for work. made it to work with 5 mins to spare. now it's time to take a deep breathe & relax. guess i didn't hit the snooze button.
hope everyones elses morning wasn't as rushed & stressed. have a great hump day.

Good morning, everyone.

Got home late last night & decided not to turn on the computer (& stay up til dawn, eeek). War Horse was very well done, but there were moments when the story seemed a bit over the top. Think Lassie Come Home with shades of Black Beauty. The battle scenes are very well done, but a bit scary for the 5 yr olds that were in the audience. Melanie Doane sings throughout the show (mostly to transition scenes). The puppetry was incredible (horses, a tank & a very territorial goose). Well worth seeing.

Better go back to my endless housecleaning (another day & my bedroom will be sparkly clean...assuming I avoid napping ).

Hasn't rained here since Feb. 17th.
Great bikin' weather but the palm
trees are looking a little stressed so:





Oh yeah, went fishing the other day caught a turtle
and a small alligator.....no fish though.
I let the turtle go of course.
My friend caught a 10lb. large mouth bass
just in this little golf course pond connected to a river.
P.S. IF YOU EVER CATCH AN ALLIGATOR....

Morning all,
Thought I'd peek in and say hi!
I lost interest in the W2W contest after the first week as I've been really concentrating on my jobsearch.
It's really rough out there when you are trying to tranisition to another field (as my background is in media). I mean i'm just an office administrator... those skills are appliciable to any industy.. but I think all the media jobs on my resume are playing against me .

I'm currently concentrating on getting a job closer to home rather than the (almost!) two hour commute to the city, so I think that factors in too even though I'm good with taking the huge pay cut.

I made the decision that I can live leaner in order to have more time to myself and do things like (I dunno..exercise! LOL ) which I never feel like doing when I get home as I leave the house at quarter to seven to go to the city and get back home at seven at night.

Good things come to those who wait (or so I'm told ) so I guess it's still about biding time at this point. I have an appointment next week to get my resume tweaked as well so hopefully that will help.
