Never really paid attention to that Detail.

I was right in the Banana Splits demographic, being a late Boomer, so that song was already imprinted on my brain long before Marley recorded Buffalo Soldier. This first time I heard the pseudo-historical reggae tune, I thought it was a parody when the oy oy oy part started.

Good afternoon. Been a slow day.
Congrats to – Divotman, Jester and SillyLoocie for the new Blue hearts and Attitash for the Pink one.
I may try the cooler corn some time but Lee I agree soak the corn in the husks and BBQ with removing and it is over a wood fire it’s even better. You won’t even need butter. Boy does that sound better than the cold roast beef sandwich and yogourt I just had.

Yes I know I shouldn't be complaining, esp as I have been most fortunate to partake in a few travels of late...but arghhhhhhhhhhhhh....started at 7am...please tell me it is almost 8pm......
Sure looks loverly outside...have a breath of fresh air for me.
Crazy busy.... I think we need a Q patio brewskifest...

1 AGM, 1 Service Audit, Family Gathering, and 2 golf tournaments this month,- here's hoping the wet weather has come and gone!!!! Plus participating in the Relay for Life later this month ( as a team member and survivor - to which I daily give thanks)..... please be nice to the weather godesses..we need enough rains to plenish nature, and around 20C to 25C... so as not to tax A/C systems, and to avoid one's grumpy disposition in humid weather........perfect

I too was Familiar with the Banana Splits before Bob Marley.
The Similarity never quite caught up to me, though.

Mind You, I have found myself Humming the Banana Splits Tune after Hearing Buffalo Soldier.
