Happy Psunday!

Threw ornaments on a tree last night, got glitterbombed by some of them. I don't know what they put in glitter that makes it stick to you and not wanna stay on what people put it on and they you need like a hazmat team to get it off you. I swear it also multiplies, it'll only be like one glitter piece left on you but then magically its everywhere like bunnies. And so in fairness, I GLITTERBOMB YOU!

It is almost time.... for Santa to arrive.
I hope everyone has been relatively good these past 12 months.
Notice I did not specify good at what

All my shopping is done for Christmas. I cut back on my purchases
and I am not used to doing that. I love buying presents for friends and family.
Oh well. Life goes on...

I did have an interview on Friday and it went well! I met with the president and the CEO
and they needed no references. They know my former boss and said the fact I was there for 8.5
years speaks volumes. They are awaiting word from their board of directors before they can hire me.
I was told when I get another offer to let them know.

I was networking at the hairdresser yesterday am and met a fabulous contact who works for
a large world wide corporation that has its global HQ locally and they are hiring in the area I am looking for.
I also have the email address for this new contact.
It is a wonderful gift I made for myself...

I am wrapping gifts today..... No interest in doing any shopping or going to any store.

btw... my former boss's sister left me a voice message last week.
She is quite ill mentally.... Her first words were, ... you have my deepest condolences...
on my being let go from the company. She had a hand in that I am sure. She rambled on
with an absurd message, and offered her ears and shoulders for me to cry on...
She is the last person I would want to chat with or befriend.
She also let my daughter know she is can still work for the company.

Afternoon all!

That party I went to yesterday that was "supposed" to go from 3 to 7 really didn't end at 7 - there were piles of people and they just kept coming in - not many took the "7 p.m" thing seriously. I arrived at 4 and left around 10 p.m. and it was still packed, I imagine it went on until the wee hours of the morning! Good time but like you yesterday Lee I'm feeling it a little today! The guy was walking around with a big pitcher of vodka, creme de cacao and pepperment snaps mixed - it was ice cold and quite tasty but glad I didn't have too many with the wine! Lots of food too. They have a really nice dog who was very well mannered with all the people and food that was out - I brought him a few treats I just happened to have around here.

Mechman - Good eyes spotting me at the breakie, yes I managed to get up front this time!

You are probably in a much better place not having to associate with people like that. When you rid yourself of toxic people it is a good step in maintaining your personal sanity. You are clever, capable, smart & experienced....I have no doubt that you'll be letting us know soon, that you have found something that is going to make you happy & bring you a feeling of personal satisifaction.

My son has just left to "begin" his Christmas shopping. I wished him luck & I think he may have cursed under his breath at my slightly snarky comment.

I am also wrapping gifts today & as for your comment about being good to yourself & others, I second the motion.

Loocie you are so right about toxic people...
I have in the past distanced my self from several.....and will continue to do so
as I make my way forward.
My daughter who turned 18 in early November is still doing work for the company
I worked for. Apparently they got rid of the 1 salesperson they had besides the owner...
It happened the same day as me.
My daughter received this note from the boss's sister..
She likes to have 'people she can manage' (she cannot manage herself or her kids)

'We appreciate your efforts and remember you were not fired like your mother.

When I have let some people know I am looking for work,
They tell me to take it easy. Don't rush!
As far as I am concerned, I have an excellent momentum going forward and I am not about to stop!
I will feel more at ease when I begin my new job!

We are baking goodies too. My mother in law loves my whipped shortbread.
I always make an extra batch for her to take home with her.
