After all it’s New Years Eve & time to have a ball,
There is going to be some dancing & even a conga line,
You just need to find your mojo & set it to align!
A sushi table for the people, who like things tangy & raw,
You can even take your chopsticks & chow down in the spa,
Lots & lots of cold cuts & even whole grain buns,
The fun is just beginning & we’re all in for tons,
Cheese fondues & platters with delicate snacks & treats,
& with that spinning disco ball, no one will stay in their seats,
Snowball dances & prizes as we keep the lights a’dimmin’,
Even a champagne fountain for those who love their swimmin’,
Horns to blow & hats to don & Happy New Year! Banners,
Everyone is here for a bit of fun & we always mind our manners,
At the stroke of midnight, we all join hands & sing,
Some of us will weep as the clock begins to ring,
Just another day takes you into yet another year,
Remember the fine people in your life when you raise your glass to cheer,
Good health, contentment & happiness are tidings that go without saying,
& we’ll all be back for more next year, so let’s just keep on playing!

Part Deux

A few notations to a poem that I wrote last New Year's Eve,
No quirky advice or suggestions on how you can achieve,
No K-Tel magic moments to help the light to shine,
No maps that need unfolding to help you all align,
You all know the rule of thumb about considering another's feelings,
We also know to be practical when it comes to life & its' dealings,
You may be an animal lover or maybe you're an amazing cook,
Perhaps you danced your way through the seventies & read a self help book,
Remember the 1980's & did you have one of those shocking perms?
Wasn't there a sappy movie about endearment & its terms?
What did you do in the 90's & did you have Windows 95?
Did you ever think the world could be right there on your hard drive?
Remember all the hoopla about the pending millennium crash?
& are we in the midst of a pace that goes so fast that you almost have a rash?
Now we turn our calendars to the year twenty-thirteen,
& gone our the days when we would calculate on a Burrough's adding machine,
Just remember when to take issue & know when it's just time to chill,

We had a blast in Niagara Falls and what a great deal it was...

Hubby actually found the deal through "team buy" for $129.00 and asked me if I wanted to go before he suggested to his dad to buy it for us for Christmas...... It was a one night stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel overlooking the falls (2 room suite with King bed & Jacuzzi), $40.00 coupon towards dinner at the Keg (located in the hotel), a wine tour at Pillitteri Estates, wine tasting at Inniskillin, breakfast at IHOP, breakfast at the hotel, 2 complimentary drinks and snacks at the "Manager's reception" (before dinner at the Keg), 48 hours of free travel on the "we go" (Niagara Transit) to the attractions, free wifi in the hotel, and for $20.00 more we bought a $50.00 Dave & Buster's Voucher and 4 Admissions to Captian Jacks Pirate themed 3D Glow in the Dark Mini-putt...
The wine tour at Pillitteri Estates was amazing.... we tasted, and tasted and toured and tasted and tasted and tasted.... we could have been there all afternoon sampling almost all of their wines.... they claimed to be the largest Ice wine producers and the first to produce a merlot ice wine... Inniskillin wasn't quite so generous, but it was still great sampling all of the different local house wines and amazing ice wines.... I never realized how much of a taste I have for ice wine....

Dinner at the Keg was amazing (as always) and we had some fun at Dave and Busters last night too.... I hope I can stay awake tonight!!!

What a great deal Lee. I had a similar one last winter, everything but the wine tours.
I'll say that my trip was soooo much colder though. My hands were shaking so much, I couldn't hold the camera steady.

That mist from the falls on the trees & lights was beautiful.
