Happy Caturday Q-sters,

This is a most interesting Caturday I've found. The store opened with double the number of required staff since we needed so many to help build the store up in the three week time. We all know that our assignments are temporary and it's seeming like we're going to start reaching the point where staff is going to be cut so we've all been worried some. However, today was most interesting. The store manager basically gave me a dept in a sense to take care of and maintain. I was given a choice between yarn and jewelry and I chose jewelry. I'm excited because for one, I've always wanted to grow within a place like I feel I am doing and for another, I'm hoping this means I won't be cut when the time comes to cut staff. I'll find out more as to what the job entails other than making it pretty but I'm happy.

Well, I think we're lucky to be tied 1 - 1 after the first.
So far, Ottawa has really outplayed us; out skated, out passed & out fore checked.
Hopefully, the Leafs will pick it up a bit in the 2nd.

That was a much better 2nd period; faster & the hockey really opened up.
Unfortunately, Ottawa scored a lucky goal, off one of our players, with a minute left.
Personally, I found the period exhausting, & that's just watching.
Keep going Leafs. One period to go.

Guess Who were pretty good last night considering there are only
two original members left.

Started late , they got lost doing the tourist thing,
nobody was upset , let the temperature cool off a bit , was a HOT day.

The venue was a horse arena , horse show...jumping place
the roadies did a good job with the sound ,being open on both
ends helped.

Played most of the favorites and a couple of new songs.

Started with bus rider, no sugar tonight, clap for the wolfman, undun,
laughing, share the land, threw in Shakin' all over went for over 2 hrs.

Two lead guitars ...duelling at times, perfect drumming from
the original drummer of course , orignal bass guy holding it together as well.

Ended (I thought )with American woman..kinda funny watching
the American girls boppin to a song that disses them but whatever,
they were having a good time.

Came back for encore of

and ended with a rockin' " No Time".

A grande time was had by all!
You could go right up to the stage if so inclined.
Friendly , good time atmosphere ,under the 3/4 moon.





Did miss Cummings smoothness and Bachman's raunchy guitar at times
but a good reasonable facsimile ...better than a cover band because of the original members.

The Canadian guys did us proud.

Evening all,
Played the good son today and took my mom out for dinner (sort of a late Valentines thing). Anyway, went to Watts (CRN probably knows this one) consistently good over the years. Then went back to her place and watched a movie. "You Kill Me", with Ben Kingsley and Tea Leoni. Great flick!

Happy Caturday Q sters,
busy day today, out doing errands. had to stop into the vets & discuss 1 of my furballs test results. she has diabetes & i give her insulin shots twice a day, but her frutose level is too high & she is at the max the vet wants to give her, so she suggested switching her diet to more designed for her diabetes to help bring her levels down. hopefully this will work.
i got a call around dinner time to say the kitchen refinishing is done & they want to start monday. :OMG: now i'm grabbing boxes & emptying my cupboards. managed to get them all done & tomorrow i have to clean everything off the counter, relocate the coffee pot & toaster oven & move the fridge & stove out of the way, all before Daytona.

jd - yeh !!! only problem, 1 shot & I'd probably be out cold.
Then, I'd get nothing done; you'd be no better off.
