count me in...er after a couple more snowfalls and a few more weeks of skiing

I'm going to ask a loaded question, that could be considered as fresh as spring,
Just wondering if anyone is interested in enjoying a nice & relaxing fling,
We've already all sprung forward, so there is absolutely no looking back,
Some of you will be out jogging doing laps around the track.
Patio weather is looming & we all savour our time with good friends,
& the people in the photography club can take funky pics with their concave lens,
McSkier & Attitash will become converts as warm weather becomes our theme,
& the ravages of a cold hearted winter will fade into a frosty dream,
This is my official goodbye to a winter that I've decided I did not like,
& dust off a few recipes for some picnic punch with a little spike,
See you out back on the deck, where the BBQ is filled up & ready,
& if anyone feels like energetic dancing, perhaps they can Do The Freddie!

I think the guy that won is the only guy who even thought of it (actually he said his buddy knew it). This is a stupid contest! It only great for the person that wins (however, it would have been really great if I won the $6600). But it is hard enough trying to figure out what normal CLASSIC rock song it was, let alone a Cat Stevens song??. When was the last time you even heard a Cat Stevens song on the radio? I think this contest is a very frustrating contest for people who actually do listen to the mighty Q.

My view is that if it isn't guessed after 2 days worth of guessing - exponentionally add half a sec a day to give us a fighting chance of recognizing the song - obscure or otherwise.
Maybe we could try preaching to the Corus as they seem to like this confounded contest so much!

good afternoon everyone, hope you are all done pulling your hair out. i listened to as many of the esc guesses as i could but i had no idea from the start and i wasnt gonna drive myself crazy. they will probably do an easy one tomorrow than another tricky one.

& if it's Gilbert O'Sullivan singing Alone Again Naturally, it will give us all a jolt,
What if it is Englebert Humperinck or Ray Stevens singing The Streak?
& how would we feel about Olivia Newton John rocking it with her physique?
If they select a ditty by Rick Astley or Abba or the Thompson Twins,
We are going to have to demand that the "Q" atones for their sins,
If they go with the Bay City Rollers, who once rocked the Grandstand at the CNE,
Then the definition of classic rock will be far a-way beyond me,

I think they would add time but there are too many "APP"s around that can identify songs only after a few notes. A clue or two wouldn't hurt.
