I know a lot of people are glad to have the pandas at "our" zoo but I don't think they have a lot to look forward to - 10 years in this zoo and then back to another.......I just feel too bad seeing animals on display and locked up.......I look forward to the day we stop keeping them in this way.......hopefully someday for the animals that day will come..........tigers, leopards, lions should be running free as all birds should be flying free........

I agree with you in principle, but there is no place for them to "run free".
Problem is that so many species are critically endangered, and can no longer survive in the wild.
Humans have wiped out so much of their habitat, that there is no room for them to exist.
The only way to preserve their existence on the planet is by the "Species Survival Plan" - a strict, carefully monitored & controlled breeding programme.
This also helps to maintain genetic diversity.

yes, it's monday, but it's not that bad. it's a short week, with friday off. of course, it's a pain for me, cause i have thursday & friday off, but have to work saturday. that should be a real bore. don't expect too many shops open this weekend. it's been so slow that many have decided to close on saturdays to try save money. hope that april beens about a busier time.

I know exactly how you feel - every year I procrastinate (a little too long the last two years) I hope to get started a little sooner this year, just to get rid of the stress a little earlier!!! Just had a couple more forms come in the mail today so can't start yet..............good luck to you!!!

I know what you're saying 22 and yes we have destroyed a lot of their habitats but at the same time a lot have been captured from areas they could have remained free in only to be put into cages where they live very sad, stressful lives. Many zoos give them very inadequate space and its very sad - a lot of it is to make money with no regard for the animal's feeling or well being - some wildlife reserves etc are not so bad........
