Good Morning All!

Wondering how the elephants are doing - they must be getting close to their new home!!! It will be quite exciting for them to get off that truck into virtually a new world for them. A Toronto paddock measuring only a hectre is all these three have known, although they're so smart it's very likely Iringa and Toka remember life before their capture in Mozambique in 1974. Thika, was born at the Toronto Zoo in 1980.

Their new home will be 35 hectares of grassland with trees, meadows, lakes, mud wallows, a walnut orchard and three heated barns, one with a Jacuzzi - good for Iringa's arthritits. Well, it's about time 40 something years living like they have - it's a crime really and then all the wasted time before they could get to PAWS after the decision was finally, finally made to get them somewhere decent - geez. Sincerely hope they make it there in good shape today!!!

Hi Everyone...
Busy Weekend.

Yesterday, I was Woken Up to "The Call" and had to go in to w*rk Briefly.
Then, went to Visit my Buddy's Dad in Rehab... where He is to Heal from a Recently Broken Hip... along with my Buddy's Mom & Uncle.

Today is Nice.
About to Head to Mississauga for what Seems to a Great Meal.
The Wife Won an Instant Prize last Week for a Dinner for Two, Served by a Master Chef.

She also Won a Guaranteed Prize of a Minimum of $650.

She can do what She likes with whatever Prize...

I get STEAK!!!!

just relaxin from yesterday - great time with family and friends .... am totally knackered...
Nieces are doing Christmas - yes!!!!!
Pumpkin beer was not a hit...hubby returned the rest this morning ...
home made brownies, pumpkin pie and strawberrry shortcake - delicious!!!!! Turkey and fixings were all delicious....many wonderful cooks in the family Bless Butterball cause even I did not muck it up.

The Food was Good.
Turns out that is was like a Time-Share-Pitch, but for Bulk Meat Purchase and Kitchenware.
I was Well Fed, so no big deal...so to Speak.
Inch Thick New York Striploin with Lemon Chicken, Rice, Carrots, Broccoli... Followed by a Pineapple Upsidedown Cake.
The Wife Knows me Too Well and kept Feeding me Her Steak & Chicken.

Have a Voucher for 3x Night Stay at a Choice of Hotel in Niagara Falls.
Not completely "Free", but at a Rate that is Keeping us Interested.

I know all about those "deals" wolfie, but at least you got something free out of it, like your meal and the voucher. I have partaken in a few of those where they offered you a number of freebies - that's okay you will get the free things but sometimes you have to listen to a grueling, long, long sales pitch about whatever. I think the one in Florida was the worse - they said it was going to be about an hour and when an hour and a half had gone by and I said "Look, I have to go, I have people waiting - you said it would only be an hour or so" He got angry and said SIT DOWN and listen or you won't be getting your "gifts"!!! What a nerve eh? Some of these guys are really, really relentless.

Just be careful when you are away and they tell you "It will only take 90 minutes"............. Been there and done that - that's for sure!!!

btw - the one's where they call and say you've won something or a few nights free somewhere - BEWARE!!!!
